Hello, I’m Samantha, you can call me Sam. I’m 24 years old and come from the beautiful state of Perak, Malaysia. Growing up in a multiracial and multicultural country, I am bilingual, fluent in Chinese, English and Cantonese, proficient in Malay, with basic Japanese and Korean.

Currently, I am a master’s student at Shanghai, China. During the summer of 2024, I participated in three Workaway experiences in Switzerland and Italy, where I gained valuable cross-cultural and hands-on learning experiences. In the winter of 2026, I also volunteered in South Korea. Now, I hope to start my new journey IN 2026!!

Want to know more about me?
In 2020, I joined an exchange program in Amsterdam, where I spent nearly six months exploring Western culture, making international friends, and falling in love with the city. During that time, I also traveled across Europe, including Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Iceland, and England.

These experiences sparked my passion for cultural exchange and helped me become more confident and open-minded. I love meeting new people, sharing cultures, languages, stories, and even cooking together.

Currently, I’m studying in Shanghai, and I’d love to find a buddy to chat with, travel, explore, and experience more of this beautiful country together.
