Hi
My name is Rodney. Time to get back on the road again. I love exploring the nature, culture, history, language, art and food of new places, meeting new friends and working with interesting people.

Workwise I am fairly dexterous. I have spent most of my life working one on one with the public. I am also pretty good at manual and artistic projects. I have just finished renovating the house I bought 1 1/2 years ago and landscaping the gardens front and rear and gained a high level of satisfaction seeing the end results.

Both my daughters have left home now so its my time to go out and explore again. I have been around a lot of Europe and have spent time in the USA, Venezuela and Ecuador, and in 2024 spent a couple of months volunteering in Costa Rica,maintaining jungle lodges and habitation.

I have many years experience working with the public in the retail and service sector and am a good listener with excellent communication skills. I have employed staff with learning disabilities and fully believe everyone should be given the best possible chance. My 8 year old niece has Down Syndrome and I have taken part in fund raising for her local charity and love seeing the joy on the faces of the children it has been able to help.

I had a business making hand crafted Celtic design mirrors and then moved on to making and selling furniture.

I love nature and gardening and have designed and landscaped three gardens. I love cooking and gained an NVQ in food preparation.

I have worked in a hot jungle environment, with ants, mosquitoes and whatever else ,maintaining buildings ,pathways and the habitat.

I can drive a 7.5 ton truck and use a forklift.

I have a good range of DIY skills and have just finished renovating a house.
