Hey there!

We are Ollie and Inês, We've met during lockdown in 2020 whilst Ollie was on a workaway and we've been together as a couple ever since.
We've lived in Portugal and the UK since then but currently we're looking to explore new places, meet new people, and acquire different skills.
We spent the past few years
doing workways all over Europe and loved it so much we have decided to continue this year.
Last summer we had the amazing chance to work in a vineyard close to Bordeaux, a villa in the Ardèche , a château in the Dordogne and a 16th century château in Occitanie.

Hello, my name's Ollie I'm 28 and I'm an Electrician from the UK.

Some of my main hobbies include rock climbing and mountain biking.
I've done several sports whilst travelling such as surfing in Cornwall(uk), Rock climbing in Catalonia and Portugal, Paragliding in the French Alps, Wakeboarding and Sailing in Turkey (Bodrum), where I completed an RYA sailing certificate.

Travelling and learning about new cultures is one of my biggest passions. I have previously experienced this whilst living:
-With a bolivian family in La Paz where I worked on a charity project supporting disabled people.
-In a nature retreat in the Turkish mountains where I learned about local customs, indulged in traditional cuisine and learned about cold water therapy.

I've had very good experiences in my previous workaways and the opportunity to contribute towards the running of a small business and/or household and to intergrate with a family is something I find very rewarding.

Hi I'm Inês I'm 22,
I'm from Portugal but currently living with Ollie in the UK.

Some of my hobbies and interests include cooking, (especially if I can have the chance to learn cuisine from different cultures), pilates and I have a great passion for hiking and the outdoors. I also love the sea and beach.

I find that activities such as these bring me a lot of inner peace and are very important for my mental and physical health.

If you've got any 4 legged friends be assured they'll get plenty of attention and care seeing as I love and really enjoy interacting with animals.

In 2023 we had the opportunity to travel for 6 months and had some amazing workaway experiences in which we also got the chance to help running some bnb businesses and even manage some hostels which we'd love to do again this year!

I'm very excited to set off on this adventure and experience different cultures for myself and I hope you'd be interested in getting to know me and developing a positive work/social dynamic.

I've have been self employed since 18 working as an electrician in the construction industry doing domestic and commercial electrics.

I've also studied business and sports science at York college as well as my electrical qualifications, I've also done a variety of jobs such as working in hotels, bars, restaurants, a golf club, swimming pool maintenance and for a patio, paving and landscaping company.

My previous experience with workaways have been:

- 3 weeks in France helping the host accept guests, prepare dinner events, cleaning apartments and gardening.
-2 months in the Spanish mountains (Catalonia) helping with renovations on a farmhouse insulating the house for the winter season and doing small electrical repairs.
-3 months in Portugal putting up fencing, building vegetable patches and gardening as well as helping take care of their dogs.

I've partially completed a laboratory analysis technician degree and a have a great interest in cosmetology and skincare.

I have years of experience in the hospitality industry and have worked as a head barmaid and waitress and house keeper at a variety of different establishments.
I've also done pet sitting (I've taken care of horses in my land back in Portugal).

You can expect me to be able to help you with any basic house maintenance tasks, diy with woodwork, painting, gardening and cooking.

I'm also eager to learn new skills and more than willing to teach you some Portuguese, Spanish or English.
