Hello there and welcome to my profile, where I share a little bit of who I am 🌼

I'm Mariana, a 29-year-old adventurer from Portugal with a background in finance and accounting. A few years ago, I found myself in a job that left me feeling unfulfilled and yearning for something more meaningful.

I've explored various communities in Portugal, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Nepal, delving into permaculture, sustainable building, and natural construction through Workaway experiences. I spent a year living in a permaculture school, where I completed a permaculture design course and became a certified permaculture teacher. I also had the pleasure of teaching and creating several gardens and composting systems, further deepening my connection to the land. Additionally, I took part in the Erasmus EU Sustainability Program Exchange, where I lived and applied permaculture philosophy across multiple projects.

The art of distilling plants captured my curiosity and eventually led me to found my own company specializing in essential oils and hydrosols, sharing my knowledge through workshops and classes.

Alongside this, I meditate regularly and have completed several Vipassana meditation retreats, which I continue to practice. I also hold a postgraduate degree in Mental Health and have taken various courses in personal development and emotional awareness. These experiences strongly shape the way I relate to people, shared spaces, and community life.

Now, I'm on a quest for personal growth, eager to immerse myself in different cultures and lifestyles. I'm known for being hardworking, kind, open-minded, and loving. I'm particularly interested in learning about religion, healthier lifestyles, yoga, and meditation.

My relationship with food and how it affects my body is a big focus for me and something I’m learning about every day. I would love to share more about this and, therefore, more about myself along the way.
