Hello! There are so many things about this life that inspire me and that fill my heart.
I am very maternal with a deep appreciation and love for children. As a mother of 3 amazing women and a grandmother to 6 incredible humans, I feel that children feel valued when they are around me and I love to share all of the love that I have particularly with infants and toddlers.

Another area of my life that really makes my heart feel both very full and light at the same time is my love for volunteering. I have had some life changing experiences while volunteering.

Hi and thanks for taking the time....
I am a very enthusiastic, optimistic, hard working, life loving, happy 64 years young!
Recently closed my beautiful natural foods store/juice bar/vegetarian cafe after 25 years of wonderful business and connection with the community. My single mother, women owned business thrived and I learned so many skills along the way. Every aspect of a medium sized retail business was handled by myself and the staff that I grew over the years.
I built a community kitchen from scratch 13 years ago which continues on today serving up to 300 folks a healthy meal every week. Although no longer involved, I do stay connected and am so proud of the outreach that they continue to do.
After I "retired", spent the winter in Mexico where I met so many amazing young families and interesting people from all over the world. Many of them thought I was a perfect fit for a workaway life! I agree!
Over the years, I have so enjoyed traveling - mostly solo. I have been so many places, yet so few in the scheme of this amazing world! I want to see more but I want to be useful and exchange my experiences for yours.
I have, post retirement, dabbled in a few fun part time jobs - a production bakery, a juice bar, and a cannabis dispensary.
I am a natural nurturer - as an empath, I am particularly drawn to infants and toddlers and they are drawn to me as well. It is joked about among my siblings (of which I have 6) that I am the one to abandon the adults in favor of the children every time. As a mother of 3 and grandmother of 6, I could not agree more. I have discovered that, although my grands are no longer toddlers, I still crave that mutal adoration and amazement of life experience that I get with babies and toddlers.
I am an excellent, simple cook. I have attended the Raw Culinary Institue in California and over the years, my juice bar won Best of Connecticut (USA) twice. I have a love affair with avocados and eat one most every day. I love raw green juices and have been loving the bountiful harvest from my small garden of salad greens. I am a pescatarian and really enjoy healthy delicious food! One of my most memorable dining experiences was when I was invited to dine with the local monks in the village I was visiting in Thailand. Wow. Humbling.
As I write this, I am surrounded by 4 dogs and 2 cats that have found us. Who saved who?

Depending on which grandchild I may be with, you could find me....
building sandcastles or hunting polywogs with my 2 year old
looking for natures signs, picking berries, playing cards or yamslam with my 9 year old
the batting cage, mini golf and pizza with the tweens and sushi and a movie with the 18 year old.
I love quiet spaces and live in a minimal yet beautiful apartment with my 2 rescue cats - the other side of my wall finds one of my daughters, her husband and their tribe of boys and dogs.
I love to kayak and walk the beach. Reading, yoga, meditation and volunteering keep me balanced. Volunteering lights me up!
I find that if I am not involved in a volunteer project, I am not at my happiest. My volunteer experiences have ranged from building a playground on the Dakota US reservation, building an orphanage in Oaxaca Mexico, the care and feeding of elephants in Thailand, teaching basic english in Cambodia, and serving the local community at various food banks.
