We are French Canadian backpackers who are looking for peace and quiet from the big city.
We have always been seeking for adventure and new experiences, learning from people and central/South America seems like the perfect place for us to explore. Our lifestyle back home is very “on the go”; we’ve had plenty of different jobs to keep us busy and learning new skills. From bartending to barista, event working, cooking, etc.
Our hobbies include: a lot of sports, like swimming, running, tennis, biking, and lots of winter sports in the Canadian cold ;) I also love knitting and taking it easy. Laura loves reading and napping on hammocks.
We both love animals, are very experienced with dogs and cats of all kinds. We would love to have the opportunity to take care of farm animals, especially Laura who loves goats.
We both speak fluent in French, English and we are trying to learn Spanish.

Que habilidades tienes?

We create the best team:
Lorie has the most creative side; while Laura is more manual.

Lorie has a degree in business management (marketing, administration, etc) . She loves plants and learning about gardening. She also loves taking care of animals, and she’s crafty. She can create and visualize new ideas for decorations, floor plans, anything from the customers point of view.

Laura is the stronger of the pair. She can do manual labour like painting, small building projects, and she loves learning new skills.

Both of us really want to learn new skills and bring our help in any way to help feeling a sense of community and cultural exchange. We both love: cooking, bartending, everything surrounding coffee (we were baristas), animals, self-care, children, sustainable-living and especially, socializing.

We love to laugh and have a great time, and we are not very fond of cellphones when we travel… we prefer connecting with real people and the nature surrounding. We love to read, play card games, talk about movies, music, and Lorie enjoys playing the guitar. Laura would love to learn how to dance!
