Hi there, I'm Lisa! My first solo travels were interrailing in Europe when I was 22, when 2 months got extended to 6 because I fell in love with the travel lifestyle and especially with doing workaways. Then after being home for a little less than a year, I set off to Asia and traveled there for 14 months, visiting 10 different countries, doing again various Workaways. Now I have been home for almost 2 years already, earning some money for my next trip and working on my career as a mural artist!

I love meeting new people and to share experiences. I’m an outgoing and social person and I love working with animals and children. I am very curious to new ways of living, community life and permaculture. I’m also really into slow-traveling and truly getting to know the culture of a country, instead of just ticking off all the tourist attractions. This is what brought me to workaway in the first place. I love to contribute back to the world and places I visit, and learn more through experience in the meantime.

8 months ago I quit my 9-5 corporate graphic design job to travel the world. The corporate life wasn’t really for me, but I still like design very much! I have a degree in User Experience Design, but my true passion lies in art and illustration. I am a mural artist traveling the world and leaving my creative mark in the places I travel to. Next to this I have experience in branding, logo design and graphic design. Different experiences with content-creation and managing social media accounts for organizations. Also I’m really into photography, I brought my professional camera with me on this trip.

Next to all the creative stuff, I have done volunteering work for many years at a horseriding school in the past. I helped kids and disabled people with learning how to ride. I love all type of animals and working with them.
