Hi there I'm Lily, 28, German/British.
After working this past year at a University as an International Affairs Manager and on the side on an Organic Vegetable Farm I now decided to do Workaways again, as it has always been an integral part of my life and fulfills me in many diffrent ways :) I realize over and over again I am made to be outside and work with my hands rather than sitting in an office all day :) I hold a Masters Degree in Cultural Diversity Management.
Recently I have also attended Erasmus+ seminars in Peace Building and Conflict Work and becoming passionate about humanitarian aid and mediation. I have also started learning Arabic (A1), and I speak French, a bit of Spanish, and German and English fluently.
Over the last 10 years I've done workaways in Portugal, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Canada, France, Italy and Israel. Most of my projects were in Permaculture, Gardening, Carpentry and the Hospitality Industry :) Ive also worked more than 10 years of my life in restaurants, cafes, bars, hostels and a hotel.
If I had to describe myself in three words I'd say: sensitive, humorous and adventurous. and social! I love to live and work in community and meet new people, learn about cultural norms, different cuisines, different life stories etc.
I really enjoy working outside in beautiful nature and doing physically demanding tasks. I love to get my hands dirty and learn about new things every day. I am a very curious and active person and super solution oriented!
I am also a great cook and love to make others happy with my recipes!
Due to my sensitive nature I am extremely empathic, creative and I love taking care of other people and make sure everyone's needs in a group are being met. Though, I am an extrovert that also needs some quiet and me time to recharge my batteries :)
I am super looking forward to work and live with great people from all over the world again. Cheers!
