Hi!
We are Michael and Leonie, a proactive and open-minded couple. We both are secondary school teachers.
This year, we've decided to take time for something different. We want to explore some parts of the world, travelling slowly. The goal is to immerse ourselves into a new culture and way of living - we are passionate about travelling, helping others and most importantly learning about new cultures. We would love to be part of your daily life, maybe learning your language and helping you out with any sort of work.
We don't need much to be happy, we can easily entertain ourselves, enjoy deep conversations and like to go on walks in nature or the neighbourhood. We are also very interested in sustainability and CO2-neutral ways of living.

Que habilidades tienes?
As both of us are secondary school teachers, one of our shared strengths is any kind of educational work. Apart from that Michael is very good with numbers and he already has some experience in working as carpenter.
He loves to play the guitar, to sing and does lots of sport.
Leonie is into languages and cultures. She likes to be around people and is good at entertaining or organizing large groups. Apart from that, she likes to cook and to be physically active. Also, she enjoys yoga and listening to podcasts.
Both of us are very willing to learn new things and easily adapt to new circumstances.
We have some knowledge of permaculture and bioconstruction.

We volunteered at the hostel during the whole month of december. The tasks included: changing beds, cleaning, talking to guests, answering phone calls, general recepion tasks, etc. The work is divided into fair shifts and we enjoyed to meet all the different people and practice our Spanish.

This was our first workaway and we totally loved it. We could help with various projects - the first week mostly in the garden with the orchard, then with bioconstruction. We learnt a lot about permaculture and how one can live a more sustainable life. The whole finca is so wonderful: you can immerse yourself into nature and… read more
