Hello everyone!

It´s Mone, I´m recently in my travel-and-discover-period! I started living abroad after my studies of ethnology and pedagogy and discovered the pleasure of being in movement.

These days I´m back to caravan adventure, crossing France and Spain to get to canary islands. I will stay the winter there, most of the time in Gran Canaria. From mid november until end of january I plan to stay around Las Palmas, as my brother with family stay there and I wanna enjoy family time and help them with the two kids. I´d love to have a part-time volunteering project around Las Palmas, so I could let the van outside the city and have a nice base.

Last year I started my Workaway experience when travelling parts of South America. I really enjoy getting part of projects, ideas and life! I´m truly inspired seeing people following their dreams and ideals, trusting their path. I´m quite interested in the different concepts of places and lifestyles, and I´d love to learn more about permaculture and gardening, self-sufficient lifestyles as well as homeschooling and alternative pedagogical concepts.

I can offer around 10 hours a week for parking my van and having access to a bathroom. I´d take care of my own food (of course would be nice to have a meal together every now and then-no must!) and trying to be an uncomplicated guest :)

I would most enjoy works in the garden.. also around the house and everything connected to tourism. Actually I can help you in whatever is needed!

It would be important for me to know if there is a good connection to public transport to Las Palmas.. I know the parking situation there so I´d like to avoid that trouble with my van. Another possibility would be going by bike if its not too far? Well there is always a way :)

In general I understand myself as useful for many tasks and works, as I´m openminded for learning new things and not shy to try them out. Most working experiences I have in the pedagogical field.. I worked a lot with babies, kids and youth. I can be quite sociable and at the same time calm and caring. Aside of that I always jobbed in the gastronomy: as a barista, waitress, at the bar, making service.. my last job in Switzerland was to make the service in a mountain restaurant and to help with the housekeeping of their few rooms. And I need to say that I really enjoy to welcome guests and make them feel comfortabe.
As I grew up on the countryside and we always had animals I feel also prepared for doing works with animals.. If someone shows me how to do it, I´m in. Same for gardening, I love it! I´m experienced in planting and growing stuff.. what a nice feeling when you can harvest out of your own garden! I also like to cook and bake.. the kitchen is always one of my favourite places :)

Its giving me a good feeling to be outside in nature, I feel like my energy is charged and I´m always curious about my surroundig area! Thats why I like to hike or just taking walks.. to get to know the area and the people. In the morning I usually do some Yoga and I always start my day with some tea :) These days im quite into macramee so I make some nice jewellery. I like to have a balance between "community" time and "myself" time.. but all in all I go with the flow and adapt to every lifestyle.
I´m vegetarian for a long time and I try to be conscious about my consumption. I try to buy local and organic, I want to make sure that those animal-products I´m eating are generated in a way I can represent. I´m in the process of reducing dairy products.. the direction leads to vegan, but I´m not dogmatic (e.g. I eat eggs from our chicken or any chicken that lives good).
For me its important to tolerate everyones philosophy. Everyone is free to chose his or her way of living, there´s no need to judge. I live my own convictions, if someone is interested I love to share my ideas :)
