Descripción
I'm Khaled, grew up in the hot and desert Abu Dhabi. Engineering graduate, amateur mechanic, and someone who has somehow met people from every corner of the world without leaving his own.
I'm joining WorkAway because I'd like to change that; to trade the familiar for somewhere I have to earn my place, slowly and properly.
I'm drawn to places built around something real: a piece of land, a project, a sense of community. The kind of place where the work has a reason and the people around the table have chosen to be there. Community and the values that hold it together, that's what I find worth chasing.
I drive, and I'll happily take a look at anything under the bonnet if needed. -

Que habilidades tienes?
My weekends often involve fixing our car or something around the house. I've been slowly learning through engines and mechanics the way most people work through a good book: one problem at a time, figuring it out as I go. My family has depended on me ever since.
Beyond that: I'm comfortable with tools, physical work, and building things from scratch. I have an engineering background that taught me to be precise and to know the difference between what I can do well and what I should ask about first.
I keep things tidy, workspace, tools, shared areas. Not as a rule, just because it's the only way I can work properly. -

Khaled arrived in our little village in the middle of nowhere in Myoko having never really travelled, never backpacked, and never lived away from home. He had taken a huge step outside his comfort zone and somehow ended up in a tiny village in the Japanese mountains with people he had never met before.

Matt 💯, Myoko 💯, Friends 💯.
I ended up staying all my stay, 10 weeks here, just spared 2 days for Tokyo.
The work was fun, we have music, smoke breaks, laughs, and good work. Work has a lot of variety too, depending on what you're good at or what you feel like doing.
