I’m passionate about fitness (I’m a Pilates instructor but also enjoy the gym) , gardening, art, reading, making things.

In the UK I have an allotment where I grow a wide range of vegetables and fruit.

I’m travelling far and wide in 2025 and hoping to volunteer in many of the countries I’m visiting. I’ll be travelling across Central Asia first, (Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Mongolia) from March-June, then Vietnam (maybe India, maybe Korea), then, from September 2025, Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica…).

I’m a dual citizen of UK and New Zealand.

I love learning, especially about people and other cultures, anything gardening /nature/outdoors related, or science, or fitness, or food….

I’ve travelled all my life (Dad was in the army) and since becoming an adult, have lived and worked in NZ, Australia, Hong Kong, and the UK. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve ’been around the world’ — with family spread far and wide, it’s been necessary. And fun.

Later in 2025 I’ll be doing a Spanish immersion course in Guatemala or Nicaragua, but until then, I only speak English.

The top item on my wish list has long been to learn adobe building, so I’d love to be able to help people building adobe, so I can learn .

I cook a great sourdough loaf, and I love cooking for friends, I also enjoy time on my own, reading, writing, thinking.

It was a pleasure having Kate in our home. She's a very determined, hardworking woman, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. As a person, she's fun, open, and has a lot to share. It's very easy to share our space with her. We highly recommend her; she'll always be welcome in our home. ❤️❤️💫

Thanks to Kate for very fruitful and interesting time with us, she was a great help during her stay. She has done to much work in these period, especially in the vegetable garden. She was reliable, kind, very hardworking and very positive, We truly appreciated her presence and would gladly host her again.

Thanks to the wonderful team at Agripark, I had a wonderful 5 week stay in April-May establishing the beginnings of a kitchen garden.
Nika and Volodya were kind, helpful and always supportive.
