This is my first time travelling and I'm going solo! I love to be outside and exploring the world around me. I am taking some time to travel to be surrounded by a different way of living and to be part of a new community. I am very practical and love to get my hands dirty - especially with things that I haven't tried before. I love meeting new people and hearing about different experiences and backgrounds.

I am a qualified secondary English teacher and I have a TEFL qualification. I'm practicing hard with my conversational Spanish but would really benefit from some extra support! :)

  • Que habilidades tienes?

I have recently finished my post grad degree in education and it was such a pleasure, as an english literature teacher, to pass on my enthusiasm for great authors and playwrites to a younger generation. My favourite part would be when my students would get excited to tell me about the books they've been reading or show me a story they had written. I loved working with children as they make everything sound so exciting! I have also completed a TEFL course so I am qualified to teach english as a second language.

My dad and I like to work on my little Mini Cooper which is always breaking down. He usually tells me what to do and hands me the tools and the job isn't always perfect but it's really fun and I am good at picking things up quickly. My dream job is to be a mechanic but it's really hard to get that qualification here in England as a past student. Learning more about it would be super cool.

Since moving away from home, I've been reading a lot about plants and flowers and the seasons that they grow. My Grandma has given me so many tips so I have a lot of healthy outdoor plants in my front garden. I find that in the garden nothing else really matters, it is such a great way to switch off.

I have taken part in a lot of sport growing up, specifically dance. I have danced since i was 3 and carried on at university until I was 23. Sometimes when teaching, I have lead some sports lessons and included dance as a warm up. I run and hike a lot, and also enjoy practicing yoga.

I currently volunteer at a project in the UK called food cycle. We host evening meals where individuals from all backgrounds can come join us for a free, hot dinner. It has been so interesting meeting people from all different walks of life and I can't wait to continue this on my travels! :)
