Hello, welcome to my profile. I am a Malaysia Chinese living in Kuala Lumpur, currently working in a Germany base company since 2010. I would like to try out a new travelling experience by joining this site. I am an employee for a company so I can only take up a short period job, ideal period is 9 days.
I would like to briefly introduce myself, i am a easy going person, on weekend, I spend most of my time in my garden and my house maintenance. I enjoy farming, gardening, painting and some DIY furniture by using recycle materials.
I've traveled to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, New Zealand, San Francisco, Belize and El Salvador. Do check out my photo album fo

I will travel with my daughter, she is turning 16 next year, I would like her to have a memorable experience in her teenage life. She is an independent and outgoing person. She is always ready to take up challenges and learn new things. Not to forget, she is also fluent in Chinese, English and Malay.

We loved having Hong (and Veronica her 16 year old daughter) stay with us. She was such an inspiration. Full of ideas and vibrance for life. She is a very committed worker so much so we had to insist that she take time off for herself. She is very competent, resourceful, reliable and flexible. We wish she could have stayed for longer.

My daughter, Veronica and I had our first workaway experience with Loz, Amber and Jasper (Sam was away at that time so we didn't get to meet) Many of our friends actually have doubts when we told them about our workaway plan. Can it work out? Is it safe? Will we get in trouble? There were so many questions before we depart, and now that we are… read more back, we have found our answers.

First and foremost, Veronica and I would really like to thank Loz and her family for having us for a 6 days stay. They live in a wonderful area in the national park. When we arrived, it felt like we had reached a fairy-tale world. The place is surrounded by trees and it is very very comfortable. Waking up in the morning, hearing birds chirping, seeing kangaroos jumping around feels very special for us as we are used to the lives in cities. Not to forget that during the night, the sky is filled with stars, when you look up, it is like you are looking at the galaxy.

It was a long journey from Sydney to Bega, it took us 9 hours to reach but it wasn't a boring ride as the bus will stop for break twice during the whole journey. Loz picked us up and headed to a beach in Tathra for dinner before going to her house in Tanja. She showed us around when we arrived at her house, Veronica and I were more than surprise to see her farm with varies types of plants. We even have the chance to feed two baby kangaroos! What an experience!

Feeding the baby kangaroos is part of our daily duty. Other than that, we help to collect eggs, pick cherry tomatoes, harvest zucchinis, egg plants and lemons. Something unexpected happened during our trip which was the bushfire. The fire started 17km away and most of the residents in Tanja were warned to leave. Loz led us together with Amber, Jasper to the nearest town and registered ourselves to notify our safety. We then headed to Loz uncle's house in Cuttagee, we stayed there for a night and then went back to Loz's place the next day as the situation got better.

During the 6 days, Veronica and I met many new people, learned many new things and of course gained many new experiences. For example: coating the canvas camp; cleaning the luxury safari tent after the guests checked out; teaching Amber and Jasper Chinese; feeding baby kangaroos and many many more! It was indeed a very memorable journey for both Veronica and I. Being away from the big city, away from traffic, away from light and noise pollution, Loz's place is a very good location to relax and chill, everything there is simple yet so beautiful and enjoyable.

We are back in Malaysia for a few weeks. Veronica went back to school and I continue my work. We really miss Loz, Amber and Jasper (it's still sad we did not get to see Sam, maybe next time hahaha xD) we miss the everything in Tanja, the weather, the environment, the people and the food (zucchini soup with basil, bruchetta made by Suzy ~) We hope to visit again for a longer time and once again, thank you very much for having us, thank you for all the fun :D

Amber and Jasper, remember to continue learning Chinese! And to Amber, you have a great voice, looking forward to see you shine in the future! (Be the next Taylor Swift! -Veronica) And to Jasper, get more Pokemon cards! Hahahaa
