Hey there,

we are Ina and Juli (38 and 37 years of age) from Germany and started our journey throughout Europe in summer 2025.

Me, Ina, am an optimistic, active and commited person, who cherishes the little moments in life and appreciates good times with good people. I started working with refugees as a social worker in 2016 in different shelters, also stayed with a small NGO in the North of Lebanon for several months, then changed to a shelter for refugee women in need of special protection and lately worked as a migrant counsellor (MBE) in an office.
I do lots of sports, mostly partner acrobatics and picked up Irish Dance lately again and generally enjoy to move my body in every way I can. I used to teach acrobatics to kids as well as to adults and are glad to pass on my skills to others. Also, I am a big language lover and try to obtain as many as I can - and I am more than happy when I can share my knowledge with others as well as picking up some new words.

Me, Juli, am a cheerful and relaxed guy, who loves to be in nature and hang out with lovely people. I am a professional landscape gardener and have been working as such about eight years, yet I started gardening already at the age of 20. I mostly enjoy to engage myself in gardens, where I can let my creativity flow and prefer working with natural materials. My speciality is definitely creating nature (dry) stone walls. I do enjoy my profession a lot and need to get back into working with natural materials from time to time - so I am happy to help you out with your garden.
I love reggae music and been running a sound system (DJing) together with a good friend of mine and used to regularly throw parties in Konstanz at the Lake Constance.

We have been concerning ourselves already since a while with a more sustainable way of life (zero waste/ eating mostly vegetarian and seasonal food/ green travelling etc.) Now, we want to broaden our horizon by visiting and staying in ecological and social projects in harmony with nature and humanity. Also, we have been playing with the dream of running a camping side at some point in the future and would love to get a feeling for it already.

We love good food, cooking and baking, cycling, playing board games and yes, talking, having great conversations. We both can be rather funny, entertaining, telling good stories - but also being good listeners. It really depends on the situation. We would describe us as being rather neat and tidy also in terms of working.
On a personal side, we are not loud people at all, but love socialising, laughing and being active when staying a place. We enjoy having people around us, love animals, but also appreciate having time for ourselves and not needing to be entertained all around the clock. Ina takes more upon organising tasks whereas Juli is really hands-on guy. We both love structure, but can adapt easily to new and unforeseen situations (our professions got us there) and we can both work rather independently, but do way better in a team.

Via Workaway we already got involved into:

🔨 Helping refurnishing an old barn, doing lots of DIY, painting and cleaning
🫒 Joining an olive harvest in France

We are where our journey will take us and which wonderful people we will meet.

Que habilidades tienes?

Ina: Since I am a social worker specialized in intercultural work, working with people from various countries has been my profession so far. Generally, I am a very active, sporty person and love to go out for walks and discover that area.
I speak between five and six languages, but love to improve my French and take upon more. Any language is welcome as learning them is peace work, in my opinion.
Thanks to workaway, I am discovering physical work and enjoy it quite a lot - I appreciate any kind of harvesting, weeding, planting, hedge trimming but also painting and small DIY jobs. Happy to give a hand with whatever needs to be done.

I also enjoy cooking and baking, so we could exchange some recipes and enjoy good food together.

I also picked upon some sustainable tricks, especially concerning the household has been a topic of interest to me - happy to pass on some tricks here. ;)
And I thought acrobatics to kids as well as to adults for several years, so sure I can share some knowledge here. Also did some clowning and would love to get back to it...

Juli: I am professional landscape gardener and got experience in designing, planning and setting up private gardens. I really enjoy creating beautiful things using what is at hand and generally working with natural materials. I could build a natural stone wall for you, trim your hedges or get your terasse done. Generally speaking, I am into physical work and also like construction. Back as a student, I used to work in a restaurant, serving the guests and I am also enjoy to cook. At this time, I did some woofing mainly in Sweden helping out on organic farms which I enjoyed a lot. I really would like to get back into it.
