Hii, I’m Elena, nice to meet you!
I’m 23 y/o and currently enrolled in the university of Padua, Italy, studying European and Global Studies, but have lived in Spain, the US and now in Santiago del Chile.
I truly love my home, but I have discovered throughout the years that travelling and discovering the world is what makes me feel truly alive.
What inspires me most is cultural exchange: learning languages, discovering local traditions, and understanding how people live in different parts of the world. I do believe that the greatest things in life come from the simple things: time in nature, good company, deep conversations, and learning new skills from people around me.
I’m motivated by the opportunity to help people, offering support, even in small ways. I believe kindness and understanding can make a real difference, and I’m happiest when I can bring positivity or ease someone’s day.
I enjoy being part of supportive, compassionate environments where teamwork, empathy, and communication matter. Whether it’s helping with community projects, offering a listening ear, or contributing to daily tasks, I approach everything with a genuine desire to make things better for those around me.
For all these reasons (and many more), volunteering gives me the chance not only to grow and discover different ways of living, but also and more importantly to leave a positive print behind me.

Tengo 23 años/a y actualmente estoy matriculada en la universidad de Padua, Italia, estudiando European and Global Studies, pero he vivido en España, Estados Unidos y ahora en Santiago del Chile.
Realmente amo Padua y mi vida en Italia, pero he descubierto a lo largo de los años que viajar y descubrir el mundo es lo que me hace sentir viva de verdad.
Lo que más me motiva es el intercambio cultural: aprender idiomas, descubrir las tradiciones locales y comprender cómo vive la gente en diferentes partes del mundo. Sí creo que lo mejor en la vida viene de las cosas simples: tiempo en la naturaleza, buena compañía, conversaciones profundas y aprender nuevas habilidades de las personas a mi alrededor.
Me motiva la oportunidad de ayudar a las personas, ofreciendo apoyo, incluso en pequeñas formas. Creo que la bondad y la comprensión pueden hacer una diferencia real, y estoy más feliz cuando puedo traer positividad o facilitar el día de alguien.
Disfruto ser parte de entornos solidarios y compasivos donde el trabajo en equipo, la empatía y la comunicación son valores bases. Ya sea ayudando con proyectos comunitarios, ofreciendo un oído de escucha, o contribuyendo a las tareas diarias, me acerco a todo con un genuino deseo de hacer las cosas mejor para los que me rodean.
Por esta razón (y muchas más), el voluntariado me da la oportunidad no solo de crecer y descubrir diferentes formas de vivir, sino también (y sobre todo) de dejar una huella positiva.

Ho 23 anni e attualmente studio European and Global Studies all’Università di Padova, in Italia. In passato ho vissuto in Spagna, negli Stati Uniti e ora mi trovo a Santiago del Cile.
Amo Padova e la mia vita lì, ma con il tempo ho scoperto che viaggiare e conoscere il mondo è ciò che mi fa sentire davvero viva.
Ciò che più mi motiva è lo scambio culturale: imparare nuove lingue, scoprire le tradizioni locali e capire come vivono le persone in diverse parti del mondo. Credo profondamente che le cose più belle della vita nascano da quelle più semplici: il tempo trascorso nella natura, la buona compagnia, le conversazioni autentiche e la possibilità di imparare dagli altri.
Ma ciò che mi ispira di più è possibilità di aiutare, offrendo supporto, gentilezza e due mani in più per lavorare. Penso che la comprensione e l’empatia possano davvero fare la differenza, e mi riempie il cuore di gioia l’idea di riuscire a portare un po’ di positività nelle vite di altre persone.
Mi piace far parte di ambienti solidali e accoglienti, dove il lavoro di squadra, la comunicazione e l’ascolto reciproco hanno un valore reale. Che si tratti di collaborare a progetti comunitari, offrire aiuto nelle attività quotidiane o semplicemente esserci per gli altri, affronto ogni esperienza con entusiasmo, curiosità e un sincero desiderio di contribuire.
Per questo motivo (e per molti altri) credo che il volontariato sia una straordinaria opportunità non solo per crescere e scoprire nuovi modi di vivere, ma anche e soprattutto per lasciare un segno positivo.

I’m very passionate about foreign languages and communication. My first degree was in “Translating and Interpreting for International Organisations,” where I studied in Italian, English, and Spanish. I’ve always loved exploring how languages connect people and cultures. I also studied languages throughout high school and completed two traineeships teaching English to children, which I truly enjoyed. Those experiences strengthened my love for teaching and showed me how rewarding it is to help others learn and grow. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Me fascinan los idiomas extranjeros y la comunicación. Mi primera licenciatura fue en "Traducción e Interpretación para las Organizaciones Internacionales", donde estudié italiano, inglés y español. Siempre me ha gustado explorar cómo los idiomas conectan a las personas y las culturas. También estudié idiomas durante toda la preparatoria y realicé dos prácticas enseñando inglés a niños, que disfruté muchísimo. Esas experiencias reforzaron mi amor por la enseñanza y me mostraron lo gratificante que es ayudar a otros a aprender y crecer.

I would describe myself as a very flexible and adaptable person. I’m comfortable adjusting to new environments and routines. I approach every experience with empathy and a positive attitude, always trying to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere around me.
Reliability and responsibility are also very important to me because when I commit to something, I make sure to give my best and follow through. I truly enjoy being part of a team where kindness, cooperation, and respect guide the work we do together.

I have a lot of experience in volunteer work with children at summer camps and also teaching languages, especially English, which has has helped me develop patience, creativity, and strong communication skills.

I also worked as a waitress for years (while studying), which really teaches you how to treat people, work hard and keep a whole bar/restaurant clean and funcional.

I’m fluent in three languages (Italian, English and Spanish), which makes it easy for me to connect with people from different backgrounds. I’m also very outgoing and enjoy creating a positive and friendly atmosphere wherever I go.
At home, I often help out with gardening and I really enjoy cooking. I love preparing healthy meals and sharing them with others.
I’m extremely clean, organized, and reliable, and I really care about keeping any space I’m in neat and welcoming.
I’m very sporty and like to stay active, whether it’s hiking, swimming, or trying new outdoor activities. I also love working on creative projects and always put a lot of care and dedication into everything I do.

Me describiría como una persona muy flexible y adaptable porque me siento cómoda adaptándome a nuevos entornos y rutinas. Abordo cada experiencia con empatía y una actitud positiva, tratando siempre de crear un ambiente agradable y de apoyo a mi alrededor.
La confiabilidad y la responsabilidad también son muy importantes para mí, porque cuando me comprometo con algo, me aseguro de dar lo mejor de mí y cumplirlo. Disfruto mucho formando parte de un equipo en el que la amabilidad, la cooperación y el respeto guían el trabajo que hacemos juntos.

Tengo mucha experiencia en trabajo voluntario con niños en campamentos de verano y también en la enseñanza de idiomas, especialmente inglés, lo que me ha ayudado a desarrollar paciencia, creatividad y sólidas habilidades de comunicación.

También trabajé como mesera durante años (mientras estudiaba), lo que realmente me enseñó cómo tratar a las personas, trabajar duro y mantener todo un bar o restaurante limpio y funcional.

Hablo con fluidez tres idiomas (italiano, inglés y español), lo que me facilita relacionarme con personas de diferentes orígenes. También soy muy extrovertida y disfruto creando un ambiente positivo y agradable allá donde voy.
En casa, suelo ayudar con la jardinería y me encanta cocinar. Me encanta preparar comidas saludables y compartirlas con los demás.
Soy muy limpia, organizada y responsable, y me preocupo mucho por mantener cualquier espacio en el que me encuentre ordenado y acogedor.
Soy muy deportista y me gusta mantenerme activa, ya sea haciendo senderismo, nadando o probando nuevas actividades al aire libre. También me encanta trabajar en proyectos creativos y siempre pongo mucho cuidado y dedicación en todo lo que hago.
