Hello Beautiful Souls!
We are Ela and Soufiane, two creative and open-minded souls from two different corners of the world who met through our shared love for creativity, alternative ways of living, nature, movement and meaningful human connection.

Ela is Polish, originally from the beautiful Tatra Mountains in southern Poland.

She lived in the UK for almost 12 years, which gave her a deep love for travelling, meeting people from different cultures and feeling at home in different places. She lived in Puglia , Italy in the countryside with the permaculture project. She is an aromatherapist and small-scale artisanal skincare maker, creating natural products with plants, essential oils and a lot of care. She is also deeply passionate about dance and movement therapy, embodiment and exploring the connection between creativity, movement and wellbeing.

Ela speaks as a native speaker Polish and English fluently, as well as Italian.

Soufiane is from Casablanca, Morocco. He is an art therapist (mandala maker ), jewellery maker ( macrame) and photographer, always finding different ways to express himself creatively. He loves working with his hands, creating things from scratch and capturing stories and moments through photography. His background in art therapy also means that he is naturally interested in people, emotions, creativity and creating safe, welcoming spaces for self-expression.

Soufiane speaks Darija (Moroccan Arabic) natively, English fluently, and French at an intermediate level.

🌿 Our lifestyle

We are both nomadic souls and are drawn to alternative ways of living. We don't necessarily follow the traditional idea of what life "should" look like. We are interested in slow living, sustainability, nature, creativity, community and learning through experience.

We enjoy places where people come together, share skills, create things, work with their hands and live a little closer to nature. We are curious about different cultures and ways of life and genuinely enjoy exchanging knowledge rather than simply being visitors.

We are also comfortable adapting to new environments and are happy to get our hands dirty, help with practical tasks, gardening, creative projects, hospitality, making things, maintenance or whatever is needed.

Most importantly, we bring curiosity, enthusiasm, responsibility and a willingness to learn. We don't expect everything to be perfect or comfortable — we actually enjoy the unexpected parts of travelling and learning how things work in different places.

For us, Workaway is not only about exchanging a few hours of work for accommodation. We are looking for real cultural exchange, shared experiences, learning, creativity and connection.

We would love to meet people who are building something meaningful — whether that's a small farm, eco-project, creative community, retreat, guesthouse, artistic project or simply an unconventional way of living.

We're happy to contribute, learn, create, explore and share a little piece of our journey with you. 🌿
