Hello prettiest people! My Vietnamese name is Duyên but you can also call me Camille. I am a bubbly gen Z who is on her way to figure the world around her and trying to connect more deeply with her inner self through travelling. It has always been my dream to get to see the world through my eyes as well as my heart for a very long time and I believe workaway is a great platform to help me enable it.

I enjoy being on the roads, meeting like-minded people, making heart-to-heart and genuine connections (preferably by going on adventures together haha), and connecting with the surroundings. There's something so beautiful about casually observing the living around us that I've been so lucky to experience while travelling!

As much as I love living out of backpacks, my current situation doesn't really give me many chances to go on long-term travels. However, I don't think it should be something that holds me back from doing what I love. On the contrary, I am and have been, most able to embrace all the experiences & memories & amazing people I got to have encountered within the precious shortness.

I would describe myself as an open and fast learner who's keen on trying new things as I can pick up and learn things pretty fast in different environments. I have more than three years working in Customer and F&B Service.

I used to work in different roles in restaurants and am used to both casual and fine-dining settings. Besides having to serve food, storytelling is a skill that I've practiced and developed over time. I find myself quite a good storyteller as not only into sharing with people some bits of culture and the world that I grew up in, but I also think, again, genuine convos are the best way to connect individuals together.

I also worked as a Senior Manager in an English School where I had to take charge of Customer Consulting, Staff Training, Events Organising, Social Media Managing.

I don't mind getting my hands dirty when it comes to hands-on tasks. At home I usually help my mom out with her shop as a butcher in a local market with processing and packaging meat. In my previous workaway, I helped a farmer family with farm work and absolutely loved my time there!

I have a great sense of self-dependence and quite a good communication skill since I've worked with people a lot in my previous jobs. Because of that, I'm able to work on solo shifts as well as with other team members, as long as I receive the proper instruction. As I also used to manage a workaway site, I value honesty & transparency regarding working details and benefits. That doesn't mean I'm asking to be guided hand-in-hand, however, I believe being clear & straightforward in terms of everything in the first place would be a really great way to help me help & take good care of your project as you want me to.

Other than that, I do a bit of creative writing and currently write my reflecting notebook on The life of some ethnic groups living in Northwest region of Vietnam. I'm definitely not an expert or journalist on these but can show you how to crack some first steps!

A few more little things that my friends describe me: A sucker for beauty, a nature lover, and a pet mommy!

I love beauty and I am, myself a massive beauty geek. I would be more than happy to be working on any creative & beauty projects: decorating, painting, designing, etc...

I enjoy outdoorsy adventurous activities. I'm that kind of friend who would ask you to go on hikes with me wherever I travel to. My idea of ideal travel days consists of long hours of spending time in nature hiking/trekking, swimming in the ocean catching sunrise & sunset, cooking & vibing to music >>>>>

I'm also pretty good at pet-sitting. I have fostered a couple of stray cats and dogs and taken care of them before bringing them to their new homes. I could give your furry friends a lovely good bath!

Lastly, since I'm Vietnamese, I can ride scooters/bikes on automatic as well as manual engines. If you need anyone to pick up your friends/kids from somewhere, surely I'll do you good!
