Hi!
My name is Ben and I am a PhD student in Canada, currently in Toronto. I also have a mixed media art practice and find much inspiration from being in nature. I have traveled, Workawayed, hiked and studied abroad extensively. When I wasn't studying I spent time teaching myself guitar and exploring the mountains and outdoors, trail running, mountain biking, and surfed in the cold North Sea!
I am an avid appreciator of the arts, love reading fiction, poetry and non-fiction alike. Other times, I love creating my own illustrations & watercolour pieces, sound art, songs, video works, and writing short stories or poetry. I also used to run an initiative that taught people wood-working skills to build handmade, unique longboards and skateboards.
I am happiest when I am outside, no matter what the weather. My ideal evening would be watching the sunset after a long run, doing yoga, sitting around a campfire with people, singing songs, dancing, and having a laugh before sleeping under the stars.

Que habilidades tienes?

I am able to work with anyone, as I am a people-person. As the head coordinator of a university club, I have planned many events and carried out many administrative tasks to manage the club. When faced with challenges I tackle them with my creative, out-of-the box thinking, and plan solutions in detail beforehand. I have co-organized coffee houses and art shows for local artists and love making ideas a reality. I am very excited to learn new skills, meet people, and enjoy nature with others!

As I am currently a PhD student in art history, with a background in philosophy, I can teach some writing, and English. I am also an avid creative, and can help with any creative task.

In the past, I have worked on gardens, farms, with eco-building projects, woodworking, and design projects. I am a very quick learner :).
