Hi everyone!

We are Amy and Tom, both originally from a small, historic city in England called York. We are currently living in beautiful Canada on a 3 year working visa, but still have our travelling urges and would love to see more of the world and Canada, whilst meeting new people, learning new cultures, getting some new skills and doing some work along the way! We have many friends on Workaway adventures who are all having such fantastic experiences and we want to experience this too.

A little bit about the both of us..
Amy - I'm a HUGE animal lover. They bring me so much happiness and in an ideal world I would have a job working with animals. I've been a dog walker in both England and Canada, have volunteered with animal charities and have spent my life growing up around animals, and I am due to go to Costa Rica this year for a month volunteering at an animal shelter. I also love the outdoors, exploring new places and meeting people from all walks of life. My hobbies include yoga, reading, art, walking, swimming and animals. My background is within Occupational Therapy, specialising in mental health, but I am having a break from this whilst in Canada. I've worked with children, adults and elderly in both physical and mental health settings and am always willing to help others in whatever way I can :) I'm always willing to learn new skills too!

Tom - I love adventure!! I caught the travelling bug when I was 22 whilst travelling around Central and South America and ever since then, I've worked in many different jobs to try and encourage my life around exploring and learning all sorts. Along the way, I've done work in bars, vineyards, boat making, tarp work etc. My favourite hobby of all is surfing and generally being anywhere near the ocean. I love going on crazy hikes, exploring all the nooks and crannies of an area, finding all the hidden spots and meeting new people. I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty and will muck in anywhere I'm needed.

We are both really interested and keen to work on either a farm workaway, hospitality or resort/lodge life this summer. We feel like we'd be missing out on the full Canada experience without this!

Together we make a great team and would love for you to consider us for your workaway.

Que habilidades tienes?

We are both always willing to learn new skills and try new things! Between us we have experience in many different areas. Amy's mostly lie in animal care, housekeeping, child/elderly assistance and general help around the house. Tom is very hands on and can is a classic Jack of all trades and will most likely be amazing at anything he puts his mind to!! (Amy's words).

Algo más...

We both love socialising and a games night is an ideal evening for us! We love card games of any sort, a good game of Scrabble or Monopoly, or anything really.
Amy loves baking, Tom loves cooking and combined we can make a great meal for our hosts if they would like this.
