Hi I'm Alice, I'm 20 years old and I have the travel bug.
I grew up travelling due to my parents living on either side of the world, my Dad in France and my Mum who I live with here in Australia. Despite the challenges faced with having family being so far away I feel very privileged to have been able to see so much of the world from such a young age. I believe this is what first instilled my love of travelling. I've spent the past two years working at a cafe saving up for my first big solo adventure, and it feels surreal to say that I am now out here exploring the world!

Although I am outgoing, I can be a bit of a homebody. I like to spend my free time reading, watching films and cooking, however, I do really value genuine connections. I love taking adventures in nature, having nice dinners, going for swims at lakes and beaches with those I call my friends.
I am a non-smoker, and I very rarely drink alcohol.
I am also a big time animal lover, with lots of experience in pet-sitting. I hope one day to own a farm with rescue animals. In 2024 I had the honour of visiting a sanctuary in Chiang Mai Provence for rescued Elephants. It was beautiful to see the three animals being so well cared for, with their happiness, the absolute priority of the sanctuary. Only small groups are welcomed to visit each day, so we all had the opportunity to interact with the Elephants- feeding, bathing and walking with them through the Jungle.

I would love to help anyone practice english through conversation, or to teach easy starting basics to to those who are starting to learn. I am half french and am able to have simple conversations in French. I am more confident understanding the language than I am speaking it. I would love to refresh my memory of the language with those who are willing to speak with me.

I have lots of experience with house/pet-sitting and I am able to provide references if needed. I spent five weeks minding a beautiful border collie, and I have spent several weeks minding for another family's 3 cats and 6 chickens. I am also a cat owner, with a beautiful domestic shorthair who is my world. I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by cats and will continue to do so. I always clean up after myself and I am always happy to help out with any house work needing to be done. One of the homes I've looked after has a beautiful garden, full of fruits and vegetables. I love to garden and will tend to all the plants daily, I find it to be a very grounding experience. I absolutely love learning new things, whether it be about new plants, animals, a new cooking recipe, etc.
I've grown to love cooking more over the past few years, experimenting with all kinds of recipes I read in cook books to expand my world of knowledge around food. I grew up with two parents who thrived when creating meals, making both of my home's kitchens feel warm and inviting. In the past year I adventured into creating more baked goods such as pies, crumbles, bagels, etc. I hope to continue expanding my kitchen skills as I travel the world.
SInce I was 13 years old I have been babysitting, and have been lucky enough to meet many families and to care for the children. I have cared for kids aged between 10 months old to 12 years old, I can also provide references for this if needed. I am a proud older sister, my two younger siblings are 15 and 8 years old. I learnt a lot of my child care skills growing up with them. I am good with kids, and I love the energy they bring to a household.
I've worked in cafe's since I was 15 years old, spending my last two years training to become a barista. I make a great cup of coffee and I have also gained strong people's skills. Through my work I've also learnt advanced multitasking, navigation of a busy work environment and how to contribute to positive teamwork.

I am a very creative person, I love acting and have done many performances and had small roles on film sets. I aspire to work in the creative arts in the future, more specifically within the film industry. Other creative projects I have taken part in are: making a short film, making ceramic pieces, stage managing a performance, social media managing/creating content for my youth theatre, and attending acting classes for many years. I am a bit of cinema geek, constantly watching films for inspiration. I am also a book worm, and I'm on a mission to beat the number I books I read last year.
I am teaching myself how to play the guitar - I need a lot of practice but I hope to one day feel confident enough to play for others!
