Hi! We’re Andrew & Alexandra — a couple currently based in Montevideo, Uruguay.

I'm Andrew (31), originally from Arizona, USA. I’m a certified English teacher with several years of experience teaching both kids and adults across South America. I first moved to Buenos Aires in 2019, and more recently have been living and working in Montevideo. I love helping others learn, and also learning from the people I meet along the way. My Spanish is near-native now, which has really helped me connect more deeply with local communities.

I'm Alexandra (25), originally from Arequipa, Peru. I work as the lead designer and content manager for a Peruvian clothing brand and I’m currently studying at ORT University here in Montevideo. My background is in graphic design, digital marketing, video editing, and tech — but I’m also passionate about food, movement, and wellness. I'm a certified Ayurveda coach and trained chef, with culinary experience from Cordon Bleu in Lima and an internship in Barcelona. I love sharing healthy, creative meals and exploring the connection between food and wellbeing.

We both enjoy spending time outdoors — hiking, cycling, and practicing yoga — and are very interested in sustainable living. We're eager to learn more about natural building, organic gardening, and permaculture. That’s one of the biggest reasons we created this profile: we want to contribute to hands-on, meaningful projects where we can grow and give back.

Outside of work, I (Alex) spend a lot of time dancing — from tango to contact improvisation — and Andrew has previously led community skateboarding classes in underserved neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, something he’d love to do again.

We’re curious, adaptable, and motivated to be part of projects that have a positive impact. Whether that means helping in the garden, assisting with a workshop, teaching English, cooking meals, or just sharing skills — we’re ready to jump in.

¡Hola! Somos Andrew y Alexandra — una pareja que actualmente vive en Montevideo, Uruguay.

Yo soy Andrew (31), de Arizona, EE.UU. Soy profesor de inglés con título y tengo varios años de experiencia enseñando a niños y adultos en distintos contextos en Sudamérica. Me mudé a Buenos Aires en 2019, y desde hace un tiempo vivo en Montevideo. Me apasiona enseñar, pero también aprender de las personas y comunidades con las que comparto. Hablo español casi a nivel nativo, lo cual me ha permitido conectar mucho más profundamente en cada lugar.

Yo soy Alexandra (25), nacida en Arequipa, Perú. Trabajo como diseñadora gráfica y responsable de contenido para una marca de ropa en Perú, y además estoy estudiando en la Universidad ORT en Montevideo. Me especializo en diseño, marketing digital, edición de video y tecnología. También soy chef formada en Le Cordon Bleu de Lima, hice una pasantía en Barcelona, y soy coach certificada en Ayurveda. Me encanta compartir recetas saludables y explorar la relación entre la alimentación y el bienestar.

A los dos nos encanta la vida al aire libre — hacer senderismo, andar en bici, practicar yoga — y estamos muy interesados en la vida sustentable. Queremos aprender más sobre bioconstrucción, horticultura y permacultura, y por eso creamos este perfil: para sumarnos a proyectos prácticos y con propósito, donde podamos aprender y aportar.

Fuera del trabajo, yo (Alex) paso mucho tiempo bailando — tango, contact, y otras formas de movimiento — y Andrew dio clases de skate en barrios populares de Buenos Aires, algo que le encantaría volver a hacer.

Somos personas curiosas, flexibles y con muchas ganas de involucrarnos en proyectos que generen un impacto positivo. Ya sea ayudando en la huerta, cocinando, enseñando inglés o simplemente compartiendo conocimientos, estamos listos para colaborar.
