The focus of what we aim to experience and to share at this place is awareness. Yet, in the world we live in, we force ourselves to deal with the accelerated speed and the constant solicitations of modern technology and the economy, with all the mental, emotional and physical consequences these have on our wellbeing. In this context, it is getting more and more difficult to stay in touch with our natural constitution, which is a state of being, rather than a state of doing. So, to bring ourselves in balance again, closer to nature itself and to our true nature, we created a space with a minimum of influences, distractions and disturbances.
By sharing time and space here, you will get the chance to experience another sort of luxury – the one that naturally and always is – while you radically step out of all too common consumption patterns.

Our place is located nearby an original, rural and lovely tico-village called Cabanga in Guatuso, Costa Rica (Alajuela province). We are about half an hour away from Nuevo Arenal and an hour away from La Fortuna, right between the two Volcanoes Arenal and Tenorio. Depending on the weather, our shy neighbour Tenorio shares its impressive beauty with us
– our showers are not heated up, they are supplied by the creek with cool-tempered and magnificently energising water.
– we use composting toilets and biodegradable toiletry products to respect the nature we cultivate and live from.
– there is only a limited power supply enabled by solar panels in the community area and no electricity (at all) in the dormitory building.
– WiFi is restricted in time and range so that we are encouraged to be as present as possible with ourselves and with each other.
