Hello traveler!
We are a young family of four looking for help turning 5420 square meters of abandoned land into a beautiful food forest. The land is located in Capelas, the north shore of the island, with an ocean bathing spot 10 minutes walking distance and 12 minutes away by car from the main city, Ponta Delgada.
Volunteers have their camping site with a private toilet and cold shower, and eventually we will create their shared kitchen as well. We provide all the basic conditions for you to live well in our property.
There are 2 dogs, 1 cat, 4 beehives, and lots of landscaping to do.
We are looking for someone with positive attitude and eager to help.

We travelled in South America for 1 year, woofing. What made a place was the people we met. We want to provide this same experience. Give back where we received so much. You'll get the view of the native and the expat. Trying to transform an abandoned place into something beautiful.

We are looking for help towards the winter months. There will be lots of weeding, cleaning, organizing for the rainy season.
An occasional babysitting could be asked in the evening. -

You'll be staying in a tent, close to the tiny house but with privacy.
There is a volunteer toilet and shower. No hot water!
We have all the camping material needed - airmatress, bed sheets, blankets, pillows.

The work was well explained by João (it was hard work but doable and also very interesting) and he also often worked together with us.
