** Update: we welcome someone(s) who could do some house sitting this summer while we're away at the seaside from the 25th July to the 1st August (it's possible to stay longer). You'll have all the house and garden for yourself, having to take good care of our animals (chickens, cat and dog -if you feel confortable with it) and eating fresh eggs everyday : ) **
We're a family with three boys: Pépin (5) Odilon (4) and Melchior (1,5) + a brand new withe Swiss shepherd called Orgeat.
We live in a nice rural area in the countryside, in a house with a large garden. We are into gardening a lot, and renovating that house we've been living in for 4 years now. We made a big change from a dull and non-sense city-ish life to a life in which we feel so much more alive (and happy!). It was love at first sight for this land surrounded by trees and they's always something to make us feel so lucky everyday, seeing a squirrel or a bird we had never seen before, a new flower or fruit in the garden, a particularly cheery fire in the stove... Gratitude is the word!
I work as a speech therapist. My husband used to work as a museum tour guide then as a teacher, which he felted as a bad very "vertical" and agressive experience, it made us think a lot about education and society and was probably one of the seeds that led us to this much free-er life. We've been homeschooling our boys for a while and now our 2 eldest are attending a Steiner school nearby. We are very happy to get to know this philosophy and being part of the school's community. So happy actually that François is on training course there and will be teaching next year!
We'd be so happy to welcome someone who would enjoy sharing our family life and spend some quality time with our kids, sharing some activities and skills, and also happily sharing our daily slow pace rhythm.
We are willing to live an ecological and ethical life, without being extremists and accepting our contradictions. Working less and living more? We're also working on that, though my non ability at saying no to patients calling for an appointment is going a little in the way of that project... !

We moved from a very city-ish life to this greenish life we're trying to live, and we'd love to share this path we're choosing with people who are wondering too if their life and community wouldnt be any happier through downsizing and a philosophy of living instead of buying.
We knit, build, bake, sew, plant, and try our best to work those hands effective and thats something we would be happy to share.
Want to learn French? That's the place too!
It could also be a great occasion for a nature retreat! (Or a digital detox!! No telly here. Putting our phones and computers down is always a good idea anyway and we're working hard on that challenge : )
En este proyecto podría haber niños. Para obtener más información, consulta nuestras directrices y consejos aquí.
We would love to find someone (or someoneS, if you are a couple or even a family!) to help with daily life, choooores, garden, extra hands!
Also to spend some time with the boys offering activities. Spontaneous ideas ("oh it's nice outside let's have a walk!/ shall we make a cake?"), book reading (a lot!!)
Gardening and our renovating projects (painting maybe??)
Please, please, please take INITIATIVES once you are here! : )

Guest room we're quite proud of! Its leading right to the garden : )
We live in a small village surrounded by trees, in a dead end and with no neighbours. Quite wild but not scary we promise! We ve had deers in the garden but no wolves (yet)
The more meals we'll share together the happier we will be, we really see this experience as opening our family and home (and fridge!) to great people we may not have met otherwise.
We love to cook and we try to eat local and organic as much as we can. It's not sugar free at all as I love to bake cakes (im half British and love carrot cake more than anything else!) and jams.
There are lots of lovely walks to do around here. The main cities around are Nancy and Metz (1h drive). There s also a "tgv" (fast train) that gets you to Paris in an hour which is quite handy for enjoying the city even just for a day (And getting back to green quickly after!)
You could share my yoga classes too : )
We practised couchsurfing a lot (travelling and hosting-my favorite part!), have "au pair" staying with us from time to time, and we see that experience as another way to share and open to new souls and great people. Just what life is really about!
