* Who we are
Hi! We are Alexia and Luca, a French and Italian couple who settled at the foot of the mystical mountains of Serra da Estrela.
Six months ago, we settled in our Quinta, and feel now ready to start welcoming like-minded people!
I am working remotely as a copywriter, and Luca is the handyman, working most of his days on the land.
After living in Paris, London, Bali, and extensively travelling all around Europe and Asia, we decided to move to the countryside.
We are attracted to nature, striving to focus on what we truly want from life rather than working for someone else, to learn how to be more self-reliant while focusing on creative projects that feed our souls.
We have millions of interests and passions, but lately, we are diving deeper into permaculture, growing our own food, foraging, artsy practices, qigong, serious DIY… among many other things.
We live with two dogs, Soul and Serra, and a kitten (a pirate at heart), Sky. And we also have ducks and chickens.
Towards this summer, some friends will join and help us out for several months, so it will be a busy time of the year!
* What we are looking for
While we are both very sociable, we're looking for someone who is independent. We are working a lot, and so, we won't always have time to hang out :)
You don't need to have any particular experience, just being enthusiastic about learning and helping!
Having your own transport would be better, but not essential. We often meet friends who also have volunteers, so there will be occasions to socialise.
We are looking for someone clean, honest, hardworking, genuinely interested in helping.
We are the type of people who can truly go the extra mile for the right persons, but we won't tolerate those who take the piss and who are only looking for a free holiday...
