  We are a group of friends working hard on solving the challenges of sustainable farming in the tropics.
  
  On our farm we grow, pack, and export Global Gap certified Dragon Fruit to USA, Canada, and Europe (UK).
  
  We are working very closely to small-scale mayan growers. They teach us how to apply farming indigenous knowledge and we help them comply with global quality standards for reaching top markets and increasing their revenue, creating a synergetic relationship that is catalyzing the shift into regenerative agriculture. We are surrounded by the Yucatan jungle and its wonderful ecosystem so we are very passionate about learning and sharing sustainable practices as quick as we can.
  
  We are conscious that we need help in this journey, so we invite all people who want to join us and share their knowledge & experience in implementing systems and practices that create value for the whole chain. As we are a new start-up, there are great opportunities for new ideas and help with current ones to make them reality, one step at a time.
  
  The farm also has a vacation property that is rented through Airbnb, we love to get all guests involved in our activities and help them have a close experience with the farm. We welcome people who wish to contribute their experience on how to market and manage this potential.

  We enjoy exchanging our culture with people from around the world, that is why we are opening our farm to people that want to share with us their culture and experience, in sustainable farming inside the Yucatan jungle. We love nature and we hope we can contribute together to help preserve the planet.
  
  We aim to adopt regenerative agricultural practices, so you can learn with us about this new recently termed movement, which has actually been practiced for millennia, and it is one of the best solutions for preserving the earth and all its bountiful creations.
  
  Most of our team speaks Maya, you can learn the language and a lot from the Mayan culture with the interaction you'll have with us.
  
  Also, there are many things to do and visit around the farm.

  Ayuda

  VOLUNTEER PROGRAM COORDINATOR
  *A good hands-on and sociable person to help with coordinating the Volunteer Program.
  Be the liaison with the volunteers; Communicate and arrange volunteers timetable; Identify the types of positions they are applying for and match with our availability; Arrange arrival pick-up times and logistics overall; Welcome the volunteers and give them the tour of the farm and living spaces; Coordinate the weekly food shopping list and other common items needed in the house; Coordinate volunteer positions & work activities, identify new work that is needed, support the volunteers’ needs to complete their activities.
  
  MARKETING IN SOCIAL MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS
  *A sociable person with good communication skills to help implement our Communications strategy. Our strategy will give you clear guidelines and ideas of how to approach our marketing content. Following those guidelines we need people to generate Social Media content. We have created an easy to fill “digital media calendar” template, that will make it easy to work on a weekly and monthly content plan. Visual graphics and/or photography work are very appreciated as it will enrich the content, but are not necessary. If you do not have technical skills, content can be generated by researching articles and online communities who fit with our guidelines of communication.
  Public relations help involves researching for local and international partners and programs, related to our field of work. We are interested to partner with non-profits and organizations who are working towards solutions to help community life, health and the climate situation. We wish to assess potential opportunities to join forces & collaborate with them, in order to find better ways to contribute to our communities and our environment together.
  
  GENERAL MAINTENANCE & FARMING HELP
  *A good hands-on person, who takes initiative and looks for solutions to everyday maintenance needs.
  Tools & Materials inventory and storage system improvement; Tools assessment and maintenance; systems assessment and maintenance; General help with our living and working spaces. Other improvement ideas are welcomed. General farming help in the field, in the gardens and with animals. We have chickens, 2 sheep and 2 dogs. Daily work involves feeding the chickens, the sheep and the dogs; Taking care of the plants in the main house garden, where we have different cultivars like agave, jackfruit, cinnamon, citrus, banana trees, etc.; Gardening in the volunteer house, which is now surrounded by virgin forest space, therefore new initiatives and ideas are always appreciated.
  
  CONSTRUCTION FOR VARIOUS SMALL PROJECTS
  *General construction help to build several small projects.
  Right now we are building a Dome shaped outdoor room; Nursery for our plants; Storage area for tools and materials; Shoe rack; Fruits & Vegetable rack for our kitchen; Storage/Rack/closet space for personal items; Interior improvements; Other ideas are welcome.

  Alojamiento

  The volunteer house has 2 bedrooms with A/C, fridge, kitchen, closets, internet connection, 1 bathroom.
  Access to the pool
  Access to a virgin cenote
  Access to the jungle for bird watching (Lots of Toh birds and also Charra yucateca among others.)
  
  We supply both houses with groceries weekly. All supplies go on our account.
  
  We usually make 1 meal a day together with visitors and team members in the main house and take turns for cooking and tasting many different recipes

  Valladolid is a beautiful city, located in the middle of the Yucatan peninsula with easy access to most attractions that are famously know to this area. Our farm is surrounded by:
  - South: 30 mins drive from Valladolid, 15 min drive from Ek Balam
  - North: 1hr drive from Rio Lagartos, las coloradas and el Cuyo beach.
  - East: About 2hrs drive from Holbox, Tulum, Cancun, Playa del Carmen.
  - West: 2 hrs drive from Merida
  
  Transportation Information: How to get to Valladolid and around the Yucatan Peninsula:
  AIRPORTS:
  There are 3 main Airports in the Yucatan, on average 2-3 hours by bus to Valladolid:
  1. Cancun airport (CUN);
  2. Merida Airport (MID) and
  3. Playa Del Carmen Airport (PCM)
  
  BUSES:
  From each of the airports, taxis can take you to their respective Bus terminals, where buses travel daily to and from Valladolid Bus Terminal (Terminal de Autobuses) Address: Centro, 97780 Valladolid, YUC.
  
  TAXIS & COLLECTIVOS
  Taxi Service to and from the Farm and Valladolid center, cost about 250-300 Mex$
  Collectivos are small or medium cars that serve like a bus by picking up as many people as their car can fit. They can be found in different areas, so it is best to ask at the bus terminal or any other local people to know exactly where to find one.
  
  We will be happy to assist you with any questions you may have about how to get here, and will do our best to arrange pick-ups whenever it is possible.
