I stayed at Sprocketlandia for 5 days. I didn’t have any experience but I painted a camper, do gardening, cut wood… I enjoyed being a part of this beautiful community, even though it was a short stay. I ate a lot of good food. Isabelle is a warm and kind person, she had a tight schedule because she gives acrobatics lessons and work in their projects.
Thank you Scott for teaching me how to play chess. I enjoyed our night talks a lot! Don’t forget to kiss your knee :) and I hope you’ll find people to teach all your circus skills!!

These three weeks at Isabelle's home were amazing! The work is really not difficult at all and Isabelle often helps out. She is an open-minded person who lives peacefully.

Oh what a wonderful week that was. So grateful to have found this place and sad I couldn't stay longer.
The warmest welcome from the very generous and kind-hearted host Isabelle, I was made to feel completely at home.
The work was enjoyable and satisfying and food on offer was fabulous.

The whole atmosphere was one of appreciation and cooperation and always ran smoothly, I was allowed to manage my own time and tasks that suited me.
Pizza night was great fun at one of the neighbours houses and everyone there was so lovely and friendly... I could quite happily have moved in and done more.

I spent 2 beautiful weeks with Isabelle and Gigi and Laura near the wonderful city of Lecce for my 2nd experience on Workaway.
The area is pretty, near the sea and they have all around a sweet community living in the same area always popping in for a coffee, Buraco games, diner or a chat, which is nice. The pizza night is also an event not to miss

The work was mainly about cleaning, and tidying up the big house after a winter of events and before the renting season. There are also a lot of various projects in process to help on.

Un esperienza bellissima. Siamo diventati tutti amici. Ho fatto 15 giorni con izzy e tutti i suoi amici. Qui il tempo passa in fretta perchè si sta solo bene. Il lavoro consiste principalmente di occuparsi del prato e quindi di tagliare l erba. E aiutare con le faccende domestiche, cioe riordinare pulire e lavare i piatti. Qui potrete imparare

- THE GOOD: I enjoyed my stay at Isabelle above all for the cultural exchange. Having meals together with different members of the community was very interesting and many spontaneous outside guests appeared almost daily, so it was always fun to take part to the social gatherings.

… read more one day off per week. Most work was done outdoor in the garden, which I enjoyed, since I love staying outside. I also took often the dogs for a walk, which I highly enjoyed.
Accommodation and food were fine, I had a room all by myself and a comfy bed. Food was always there (3 meals a day) and community members were spontaneously cooking each day different (delicious) dishes.
- THE BAD : as a non smoker I found myself surrounded by many people smoking. The thing is that being Winter and cold outside, it was impossible to avoid the smoke, because we were all gathering in the communal areas to eat or for social gatherings at night.

I stay a bit more than 1 month at Isabelle's place and it was like living in a big and lovely family ! Isabelle always tried to give me work that makes me happy to do so it was a pleasure to stay with them and to discover their way to live ! <33

… read more Isabelle and Scott, we managed to help build a vegetable garden, install solar-powered lighting, complete the ground cable, install bookshelves, and build a garage for an electric car out of pallets. Time passed very quickly and imperceptibly. We left pieces of our hearts in this beautiful place. Thank you very much Isabelle and Scott!❤️❤️
