CORONA UPDATE: we take the situation very seriously and established a stop for visitors. We seek on hosting people again as soon as possible, probably around June. Since requests rose like the need for toilet paper, we already have a queue for people who want to come to our place.
Small ecological community in two 100-year-old houses in a tiny village, 80km east of Berlin is looking for help! We established the project three years ago so there is a lot of renovation going on at this time - and a lot of room for your ideas! Our organic garden grows every week and all the beautiful fruit trees need a hand, too.
At the moment there are six humans (Jule, Alex, Irma, Martin, Jon, Struppi) living here, plus one dog, about three cats, six hens and six sheep. Runner ducks about to come back soon...

Besides living in a cool place away from the stress of a big city and close to beautiful nature, you can benefit from being able to learning german, basic woodworking and gardening skills as well as cooking delicious vegetarian meals with local organic ingredients. You may learn how to put a fire under a bathtub and then take a bath under the stars (we also do have a warm shower inside, though)

Basically, we need help with everything. You can help out in the garden at every time of the year, establish new beds or other structures to grow plants, get dead wood out of the trees and so on.
On the handicraft side, we try to refurbish a big old house and there is no lack of projects we are currently running, may it be roofing, woodwork, plumbing, brick work, painting work, electricity, oven maintaining and so on.
In colder parts of the year, there needs to be wood cut for our common shared living room.
You may take care of our chicken. There are some sheep living with us as well. Also, we want to refurbish two rooms in order to broaden the space where people can stay - may it be guests or volunteers! Also latest in end of april a new batch of soy sauce is going into manufacturing. If you're into fermenting, that's your adventure.
Oh and we believe that this farm is a great opportunity for you to pursue your own little project (refurbishing a guest wagon, building a tiny house, clay oven or or or....), depending on your passions and skills of course - many things are possible.

Alojamiento
Since more people moved in, we currently can not offer an own room in the house for you to stay in. We have two caravans on-site which will be your private areas. Bath room, kitchen and living room are commonly shared rooms. In summer time, you can also put your tent somewhere on the premise. We would also provide a tent if you're interested. We aim to built some wooden tiny houses for guests "soonish", that might even be a project for workawayers :)
PLEASE NOTE: since the house is quite old and our project quite new, please don't expect too much comfort, the overall condition would best be described as "rusty" (even though we have warm water, electricity and wifi...)
ALLERGY INFORMATION: we do have cats that also live inside the house and in the common rooms. Also, in the house there is dust (even though we clean often).

The closest train station is 7km away, we can organize a shuttle if you're in need. Berlin is 1-1,5 hours away, depending on the means of transport. We live in the Oderbruch region, a former swamp area. The river Oder with it's beautiful wetlands are close, as well as two national parks on both german and polish side.

Highly recommended as they both are always cheerful, relaxed, funny and totally willing to help out in different fields. They helped cooking, renovating in and outside of the house and we'll miss both their help and joyful personalities!
