in April/May 2025 we will be looking for a caretaker of the land who can mind the animals so let us know if your interested
We are an Austrian and New Zealand couple with a 9y/o boy, Living off grid on a small plot of land in Kumeroa, Beside the Manawatu River 10km East of Woodville.
Here we have been working with the land to create a forest garden, camping area, converted bus accomodations and vegetable gardens.. all with the company of 2 horses, a goat, sheep, dog, cats, chickens and ducks
We enjoy having travelers stay as we have traveled and enjoy to hear tales of others experience's.
We like to include people in our day to day activities living off grid, helping out at the local school, horse care, mechanical and building projects, music playing etc. and are always willing to share what we know from our experience living like we do..
For us it's helpful if you are practical, hands on and don't mind to help out where you can..
Accomodation will likely be in a house bus or cabin depending on availability. There's room to park and plug in your own vehicle if preferred.
There may be a chance to house sit if we are out and about..
