  About the place:
  Helping hands are always needed on our beautiful site about 100 km south-east of Berlin. Our vacation and event site is located in East Brandenburg in a secluded rural location in the Schlaubetal Nature Park in the middle of a wooded area, with a lake right on the doorstep.
  
  If you enjoy nature, but are also open to parties and festivals, this might be the right place for you.
  Because we have both: nature is really beautiful here - sparkling starry skies like you don't get to see in the city, trumpet calls of cranes, eagles, beavers, fireflies in summer or owl calls at night. Here you can go hiking, cycling, swimming or mushroom picking in the fall. We also have a fairly large organic vegetable garden.
  
  From about May to September is the main time for our rental business, but in the period from November to March there are almost no guests and we are among ourselves. In fall, winter and spring it is very quiet here, in summer it is very lively.
  
  Many weddings, birthday parties and other celebrations take place here in summer. So please be warned that it can get quite loud at the weekends in summer! Life is celebrated here.
  In addition to private guest groups, a few larger events also take place during the main season, such as music festivals, a cinema festival or a gravel bike festival.
  So you have the opportunity to experience festivals as part of the "backstage team" from the very beginning.
  
  About us:
  We are six open-minded people aged between 11 and 66, and three nice cats.

  We usually eat a freshly cooked lunch together on weekdays, on weekends everyone usually takes care of their own food. Breakfast and dinner alone or together, as you prefer...
  
  We're happy to show you around the area, having lunchtime together and share time during collaborative work, but please be prepared to entertain yourself as well as we are often occupied by our guests or office work. Many guests are very open minded and interested in our helpers, so feel free to get chat with them :)
  
  
  What can you learn and get to know with us?
  
  1. if you work with Timo, you will learn a lot about organic vegetable growing from sowing, soil improvement, cultivation, harvesting to preserving. Super tasty chili sauces are his specialty.
  
  2. if you are interested in craftsmanship, you can learn a lot from Hartmut when you carry out repairs together or construct something new. But wood and trees are his greatest passion. He also has his own wood sawmill for cutting boards and a fully equipped workshop. So if you are skilled in interested in this topic, it might be a good place for you.
  
  3. if you have an interest in technology, you can learn all about electrics with Henry, as he is our man for everything to do with electricity and the internet. He's a really nice guy and can tell you lots of exciting stories from his childhood and youth in Berlin. From a Berlin that no longer exists in that way - oral history!
  
  4. if you're here in the summer, you can be there when festivals are set up here and the whole area is transformed, you can join the festival if you want, and experience when everything is dismantled again.

  We don't ask for help with the business, as we take care of our paying guests and all tasks related to the running of the business ourselves.
  But there is a lot of other tasks for which we need a helping hand. As we are very busy with guests and office work, we could do with some help on the property or in the house.
  
  What is there to do?
  There are different tasks depending on the time of year.
  We can use help with the maintenance of the grounds:
  E.g. raking leaves in the fall, helping with tree cutting, watering the lawn in the summer,
  making firewood, repairing the fence ....
  In the vegetable garden: growing vegetable plants, planting bulbs, watering the garden, collecting pests, weeding, harvesting, preserving vegetables, etc.
  Everything around the house and yard: Helping with repairs, making handouts, helping with tidying up, helping around the house, if you can cook well, you are welcome to take over lunch ... etc.
  We are happy to welcome manual talented people who are not afraid to work physically at times ;-)
  
  We expect about 4 hours of help 5 days a week. Please note that, due to the nature of our business, your helping hours will be flexible and will change according to the situation.

  Alojamiento

  There are two apartments for the helpers (each about 30 square meters). Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen and its own bathroom (WC and shower), as well as its own terrace. In the cold season these apartments are heated with wood-burning stoves. If you don't know how to do this, we will show you!
  The apartments fit for 1-2 people each. Also very suitable for couples!
  
  We are looking for up to two more helpers, probably from the end of May (as of April 15th 24)
  Minimum stay is 4 weeks.
  And if it suits both sides, we are happy for a longer time, as we are particularly interested in long-term helpers.

  Please understand that you will spend time on your own as there isn't always someone around to keep you entertained. If you play an instrument and coincidentally
  like playing punk-folk music you can join one of our members here :)
  Two of us are practicing Vipassana meditation, we are happy about co-meditators.
  
  As a long-term helper, you can also realize your own ideas or projects on the premises in your free time, such as cultivating your own vegetable plants, having your own small herb garden right in front of your apartment, baking bread, painting, writing, building something with wood .... and much more.
  You will have your own small apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, your own bathroom and toilet and your own terrace. The apartment is also big enough for a couple. A wood-burning stove provides warmth in winter. If you don't yet know how to heat a wood-burning stove, we'll teach you!
  
  
  Please be aware that our site is very remote! The nearest towns for shopping are Beeskow, Eisenhüttenstadt or Müllrose. All about 20 minutes away by car. But can be organized :-)
  
  The nearest train station is about 8 km away, from there it takes about 1.5 hours to get to Berlin.
  You can easily get to the station by bike, or we can take you there by car.

  The site has a 16 Mb DSL Internet connection with approx. 11 Mbps/ download and 3 Mbps/ upload, W-Lan is available throughout the site except for a few places. However, if there are a lot of people on the site, there may be temporary problems with the internet speed. We are on a remote site, so the internet quality is not comparable to that in a big city. However, our own work also requires a permanently reliable internet connection, so you can assume that there will almost always be a usable connection here.
