We have a cattle farm on a 8000 acres of land at Springsure, Central Queensland. The key focus is to use systems that promote land regeneration.
We focus on using Natural Sequence Farming, time controlled grazing and Joel Salatin's farming principles to mimic a natural ecosystem processes.
Our farm is open for volunteers to assist with animal management (water chickens, mustering cattle and feeding pigs), building or maintaining infrastructure (constructing 'leaky weirs', fixing fences and assisting with property development) and Gardening. We are trying to become self efficient and growing our own fruit and Veggies will certainly put us in the right direction. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement. It provides a rewarding, hands-on experience for the volunteers while they are helping around the farm with different task.
We offer accommodation and food and we are sure volunteers will gather knowledge in a friendly farm environment.
