We are seeking enthusiastic travelers who want to stay and help us with the general maintenance of the place and with projects. There is always plenty to do on a day-to-day basis and we invite all volunteers to pitch in with cooking for the common dinners (for the team), attend guests/help with the reception, cleaning the surroundings, firewood collection, gardening, general maintenance, house-keeping if they would like to.
Volunteers need to be friendly and willing to meet new people!
There are several priority projects we want to focus on: meditation & yoga platform, prepping & seeding the farm, drought-resistant veggie garden, & the plastic bottle greenhouse.
In addition, we have all kinds of ideas for new projects including a rocket mass heater, grain fields, bamboo furniture, sourdough bread (baked in our wood-fired pizza oven), teaching local kids, yoga & meditation platform, composting toilets, beekeeping, rainwater harvesting, increasing our food self-sufficiency and building a small housing space on the farm, all of which we would like help with.Ayuda
I have spent the last years focusing on the basic infrastructure necessities.
My hope is that this piece of land, a few acres straddling jungle and meadow, will eventually be home to an eclectic community of residents and volunteers where we and others can live and learn. We are trying to be self-sufficient for vegetables and will soon have some leafy and salad, bulb and stem, root and tuberous vegetables and fruits such as strawberry, tree tomato, passion fruit, plums, and peaches. We like to forage as much wild food as possible, and also make our own pickles, jams, chutney, sweets, savory snacks and so on.
We hope to start growing some grains and pulses later this year.Idiomas

We prefer that volunteers work on things they are interested in and enjoy, and are totally open to people working in the way they prefer and when they prefer. Often we find volunteers like to take on a project (sometimes their own idea) from design to execution and then work on it at their own pace. We really welcome new ideas that our volunteers bring too and have implemented several things, which volunteers suggested.
All we ask is that everyone participates and contributes to community life.Un poco más de información

These crazy humans have a really cool project in the middle of nowhere ( forget about stores or phone line) , that keeps them really occupied.
I guess I did not reach them in the right moment. I was planning to stay for a week and I left after two days. I spent a lot of time " waiting " ,… read more
