  Looking for garden help in May and June!
  
  I am a single woman living with 2 cats and 2 dogs in an alpine farmhouse. The land and various small building projects around the farm and land are a lot for me to manage alone and I need a helping hand to get it all under control. I speak French and Spanish and have lived around the world. My animals are king on the property so all applicants must love animals. I also need housesitting when I travel and so am looking for true animal lovers.

  You will experience life in the mountains and can witness French culture. I speak English at home but am happy to speak in French or Spanish sometimes if you want to. In your down time you can enjoy all the mountains have to offer: hiking, biking, rock climbing, etc etc. There is a bus that runs in the high season from the bottom of the road but you can also walk to town in about 25minutes. Life here is all about the outdoors but there are little art galleries and some museums in the region. If you have a car then Italy and Switzerland are only 30min away and there are lots of little villages and valleys to explore. This is really what you make of it so you need to be independent and able to manage your own time and create your own experiences. It is not necessarily straightforward to meet people in the mountains so you need to be proactive and also comfortable by yourself. Each season is really unique so you need to be prepared for all kinds of weather. And when the weather is bad you need to be happy being inside and keeping busy.

  I welcome help to maintain my home and garden. I specifically need help setting up the vegetable gardens and harvesting some of the plants that are already on the land for various uses. I want to start growing mushrooms and have a few projects that need some care. I also need to paint a couple of rooms and lay floor. I sometimes need help looking after the animals if I need to go away so general housesitting may be needed which means cleaning cat litter, walking the dogs and feeding the animals.

  I speak French and English fluently and I used to be almost fluent in Spanish but am now very rusty. I know a small amount of German and am interested in learning more.

  Alojamiento

  You will have a little chalet all to yourself with your own small kitchen, living room and bathroom on the ground floor. The bedroom is loft style and accessible via very steep steps. When I am away and you are looking after the animals you will move to a bedroom in the main apartment.
