Descripción
Hi there, we are a young family of 4 living in beautiful Waihi Beach, one of New Zealand's top holiday destinations. We are a 5min walk from the white sandy surf beach and local shops. We have a beautiful property (we think!) including beautiful home, sprayfree home orchard and vege garden, green house, 6 laying chickens, 2 cats, pond and small woodland that we are currently working to improve and maintain. We generate our own power through a pv solar system and a wetback fire and are aiming to live sustainably and as self-sufficiently as possible. We run a Nature School and holiday program for primary school aged kids and have held yoga retreats and workshops in the past. We are a young, energetic, friendly Kiwi family ready to share our slice of paradise with you! We are very accepting, down to earth and open people wanting to ensure all visitors have a fantastic Kiwi experience with us in a home away from home.

At present we are needing help with planting and tending to our vege garden and tunnel house, general gardening and maintenance of grounds, including weeding, pruning, chipping, cutting firewood as well as some domestic cleaning.

Alojamiento
We have a very comfortable 3 berth, self contained caravan parked onsite. Here you will have access to electricity, small fridge and gas cook top. Toilet/shower facilities can be shared with the main house via independent external access, there is also an outdoor shower with hot water. Food grown on the land is open for all to use and we will provide an evening meal each day you are with us. In exchange for the above we expect approximately 3-4 hours of work per day, 5 days per week depending on length of stay and available work etc.

Nearby activities include the beautiful surf beach, surf board and bikes available for use, walks, hikes, mountain bike, fishing (we fish regularly with an electric Kontiki - a Kiwi invention), waterfalls, local events/markets. We are social people and enjoy having friends and family to visit. We have 2 young daughters and value and prioritise time with them doing arts and crafts, reading, games and puzzles, playing outside, visits to the beach and local playgrounds. We are located 2 hours South of Auckland, 1 hour North of Tauranga, 2 hours North of Rotorua (tourist hub) and are at the base of the Coromandel Peninsula.
