Our place is an Organic Farm and Botanical Collection that seeks to create a harmonious environment for people and wildlife. We practice restorative ecology and permaculture practices as well as tropical garden design in an effort to compliment and beatify the stunning surroundings of the Maya Mountains and the Hummingbird Highway.

I have travelled in more than 80 countries and spent most of my adult life in the tropics where I have loved and learned passionately about tropical eco-systems and their flora and fauna. My background is as a Mountain Guide and I have worked all over the world in this roll. I love nature, archaeology, anthropology and history. I also practice Yoga and slacklining and I am passionate about music and like to drop the bass! I speak English and Spanish fluently and conversational French.
We are an organic farm that produces the following. Coconuts, bananas, plantain, citrus, cassava, avocados, mangos, jackfruit, breadfruit and guava amongst other exotics. We also produce vegetables and plant exotic tree's and flowers. General farm work, pruning, mulching and land clearing are some of the jobs. We also have ongoing building projects and general maintenance of Colonial farmhouse and cabins. Art and esthetics are an important element of the growing project, my canvass is my home and garden that I enjoy sharing! A willingness to work hard with a good sense of humor are positive attributes!

Volunteers have a picturesque private cabin overlooking a creek, it is fully screened with bedding and mattresses. Group meals are eaten in the Colonial Farmhouse which is a "Queenslander" style structure. Meals are generally prepared together and food is very much part of the cultural exchange! Volunteers have their own private outdoor shower amongst the tree's as well as a composting toilet - "The Thunder Box".
The property has its own river and beach area adjacent to the rainforest. The nearest National Park (Billy Barquedir) and waterfall is 5 mins by bus. The Blue Hole NP is 30mins by bus and the coastal town of Dangriga is 21 miles away. The whole area is surrounded by lush rainforest and can be simply described as a Nature Lovers dream. The property itself is a birders paradise!
