Descripción
We are a 42-bed boutique hostel that offers a home away from home. The hostel is currently run by a 12 people team, with 2 managers, 6 receptionists, 1 accountant, 1 OTA and 2 housekeepers.

Being right outside the central area lets you experience a truly local life, but still easily visit the famous sites.

We had some volunteers with us before, who were our previous guests that decided to stay longer for a more in-depth experience, and it was a big success. Thus, we are now having a Workaway profile to get more volunteers bringing their diverse skills and personalities to the table. We are looking forward to having you join us :)

If you are currently in Hochiminh City, please indicated that in your message, so we can offer you a drop-in session to check out the hostel and get to know more about the tasks (if we still have space).

We prefer at least 2 week commitment.

We usually accept application 2-3 weeks in advance at most, because our offer and availability change frequently.

We are currently looking for bubbly, outgoing volunteers to help out with the following positions:

Receptionist
Housekeeper

And if you have any skill that can enrich the guests' experience, feel free to drop us a message!

IMPORTANT - PERSONAL HYGIENE: as it's a shared environment and with tropical climate, it's better to be clear on here to save any awkward moment later. Personal hygiene is very crucial and we highly value it. Our showers are awesome so please make use of it!

Volunteers are responsible for their own meals. You can try out the wide variety Vietnamese food has to offer in the neighbourhood, as it is low cost (sometimes even more cost effective than cooking) and delicious.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at this hostel which was a great introduction into what Workaway was all about as it was my first place I volunteered at. We loved our workaway experience at this place. It was our first one but Hoc and the rest of the team , Emily ,Van and everyone else made us feel so welcome.

Tye stayed with us for a short period, but he had caused a lot of trouble. Short version: he lied, took outsiders back to his dorm, refused to pay $45 he still owes us, not cleaned up after eating and created lots of noise when other guests are sleeping.

Can't recommend these guys enough. My mate Tom and I had the pleasure of working with them for 2 weeks. It kills that we couldn't stay for longer. Had an amazing time volunteering! The hostel is beautifully clean and modern and really feels like home with super cozy beds. Adrian is such an amazing host and the entire team is just so lovely. It was the nicest hostel I came across during my 2 month trip through Vietnam. I traveled all over the country and stayed in many different spots but here was far and away the best. The rooms are open, clean, and comfortable. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious. What more could I have asked for? Austin… read more and the rest of The t team were always there to help me out if I had any problems getting the hang of reception work and also there to answer any questions I had about Saigon in general. Furthermore, Austin is very plugged in to Saigon night life and owns many of its most popular bars. I had the privilege of working at one of them and it was a blast! Helping out at the bar was a great alternative to working at the hostel as it changed up the pace of my daily schedule and exposed me to a whole different side of Saigon.

Location wise, the hostel is in a great spot. It is in district 5 so it's much more of a local area than the more touristy and 'downtown' district 1, which was perfect for me to experience authentic Vietnamese culture. District 1 is still super close to the hostel (less than a 10 minute grab drive) so its easy to experience that aspect of Saigon as well.

As far as the social aspect goes, It is definitely in the upper range for cost when compared to other hostels in Saigon, which doesn't really matter since accommodation is part of the workaway contract however the price does affect the type of other guests that stay. A majority of the guests were anywhere from their late 20s to late 30s and so as somebody in their early 20s, I definitely was one of the younger people at the hostel however that wasn't a problem at all. I made plenty of friends and never felt like staying at a nicer hostel rather than a more social, "party" hostel had any effect on my stay. In fact, I stayed at a few backpacker "party" hostels later on in my trip and really wasn't a fan; the other hostels were louder, dirtier, and much less concerned about you experiencing Vietnam as they are with getting you drunk.

Overall, I can't say enough good things about this place The property is beautiful and in a great part of Saigon, the staff is wonderful, and the food is delicious. The unique and vibrant atmosphere that it provides was the hallmark of my trip in Vietnam and if you're lucky enough to stay with them, I'm sure it'll be the hallmark of your's too.
