Hola! We are a very focused and dedicated young (since 2016) holistic project in Ecuador. With the clear and simple goal of a healthy lifestyle. Including growing own food, caring about our environment, a self-sustainable and regenerative goal in near future.
Originally from Europe, Switzerland. We just also started our own coffee-shop a few month ago. One of our goals is to disrupt the current global value chain paradigma... Want to be part of the change?
This project is for individuals who are into understanding that permaculture in a tropical humid environment is very different than a dry tropical or a non tropical environment. Our project is an permaculture site in the Valle de las Luciérnagas (Valley of the Fireflies), at the edge of the Amazonas region in Ecuador, South America. The farm is approximately 80 hectares or 200 acres. Located about 3 hours north of Loja and 15h from Guayaquil or Quito, in Southern Ecuador.
NATURE
Surrounded by nature
Here you are literally surrounded by nature. We are located at the edge of the Amazonas region in the south of Ecuador with a breathtaking landscape view of the Rio Zamora. The twilight is spectacular on cloudy days. At night you can enjoy listening to the frogs, bats and owls. During the day, if you are lucky enough, you can see eagles very near our bamboo house. Snakes, spiders and mosquitos are a part of the ecosystem here. You can walk around the farm which is about 76 hectares or 180 acres. There are several creeks and waterfalls within the different micro climates of the property.
ANIMALS
We have animals, which are part of the family like our 4 dogs and chickens. The dogs job is to protect the property and our chickens so they bark, also at night if there is a animal or a human sneaking around. :-)
LONGTERM
We are looking more for LONGTERM Volunteers, minimum stay is 1 month!
CHALLENGE - are you ready for the experience?
We will share our daily family farm life in our tropical paradise with you. For most people it will be harder than what they are used to. Are you ready for the challenge? How well do you adapt? Does a holistic organic farm life interest you? Do you care about growing your own food and caring about plants? Do you like to experience how life is when not everything is available - less is worth more. Are you ready to commit for minimum 1 month? Can you survive with very limited WIFI (slow internet just 1 hour a day. Else you can buy a personal CNT-chip $5 =300MB).

Volunteers - Only SERIOUS applicants please. Do not waste your time and ours (!) Volunteer commitment is minimal 1 months. Do not insist on a shorter period. We provide you with three meals / day and accommodation in exchange for your work, 5 hours / day.

Permaculture, Gardening, Cooking, Blogging, Photographing, Farming, help in and around the house, Animal care. Harvesting existing fruit and vegetables like Bananas, Papayas, Lemons etc. Planting more fruit trees. Volunteering in the plant nursery: drying seeds and planting seedlings etc. Many building projects. Preparing meals. If you have any special skills please let us know, we like to share everything we know and enjoy learning from everyone else.

We happy to share our bamboo house with one beautiful bamboo guest room with max. 3 mattress. Of course you can bring you’re own tent if you prefer. We have a full equipped kitchen. Running water, Cold Shower, Compost Toilet, Biodigestor, Electricity and very limited WIFI (slow internet just 1 hour a day. We recommend to buy a personal CNT-chip $5 =300MB).
Volunteer commitment is minimal 1 months (30 days). Do not insist on a shorter period. We provide you with three meals / day and accommodation in exchange for your help, 5 hours / day.
