Descripción
We are an Italian-French couple with 2 children aged 4 years and 1 year 1/2. 2 years ago we took a farmhouse in Amelia (province of Terni) with the intention of sharing it in the future with another family. There is an extra large hall where we would like to host or organize events. We started gardening but we still have a lot to learn! The land (about 3 hectares for the most part steep) is to be exploited because one part has been abandoned but the other is full of fruit trees. There are also olive trees for the moment managed by a local farmer but which we hope to take back on our own when we have more time. There are two cats to help us keep the mice away, 4 sheeps and 1 goat to cut the grass.
Our overall goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible and so there is a lot of things to do before we can!
Amelia is small but very alive and we discover more and more that the local alternative life is dense.
Regarding us, we are two fairly quiet people, we don't have a steady job and we don't want to have it. We like to do manual things, I am the most artistic part and Mattia the most technical one. We are interested in a lot of things related to personal growth and even if it is not always that easy because we are far from being enlightened, we try to see the positive part in everything we manifest. We don't eat meat but fish every now and then. We travel quite often in France and also host family or friends more or less once a year. We have two wonderful children, the "big" one especially likes to be outdoors and play music and the little one likes to eat with his own hands and explore everything. We traveled a lot in the past and as it became more difficult today with two children, we are very open to different cultures and we also gladly host couples or even families! In the next two months my partner will go to work in the north of Italy during the week (probably monday to Thursday). For this reason I'm looking for a little help with the kids during the day: play a little bit with the small while I prepare the big one for school (30 min), help cooking dinner so that's ready to make the kids eat at 7pm max, stay with the small while I'm making the big one sleep in the evening (more or less from 7h45 to 8h15).
That's my priority for this next period. Then if you feel like you want to help around, we are always looking for help with anything written previously : gardening (working the ground, planting, watering...) help with wood work (cutting, storing...) taking care of the animals (feeding them, checking the fences...)

Alojamiento
Our house is big and we are able to provide one double bedroom with private bathroom on our floor and an independent big room (for 1,2,3 or 4 people) on the ground floor (in the winter it needs to be heated by a wood stove to manage by yourself), the bathroom is separated but still private (only the washing machine to share)
We provide and cook the meals (without meat) but we are also happy to taste or learn new recipes if you will to share your cooking skills!

We are located one kilometers far from the center of Amelia wich is a beautiful small medieval town. Buses are available to reach the main cities around, the station to reach Roma is 20 minutes far. We can bring you.
As we are in the countryside it's obviously easier to travel if you own your own car.
