C'est une personne très gentille, très droite qui fait de son mieux et s'applique pour réaliser correctement les tâches demandées.
Elle est curieuse de voir la vie et la culture des personnes avec lesquelles elle se trouve.
Elle aime découvrir les lieux, elle aime la nature et
… read more les animaux, elle s'intéresse à tout et il est très facile de lui faire découvrir notre mode de vie et notre environnement.
Elle essaie malgré la difficulté du français d'échanger avec nos amis ou notre famille, elle a toujours vécu avec nous à tous les moments de la journée et c'était un plaisir de discuter, de partager les repas ou les jeux.
Elle fait beaucoup d'efforts pour apprendre le français, elle a même voulu apprendre des recettes françaises et à Noël elle nous a fait partager sa très bonne recette de petits gâteaux de noël de tradition allemande.
Nous l'avons accueillie deux fois et serions heureuse avec ma fille de l'accueillir de nouveau ou de la revoir lors d'un passage en France !
Notre petit chien qui s'est beaucoup attaché à elle serait très heureux aussi ! Ma fille Rosane de 14 ans a toujours été très heureuse de la présence de Lenya avec nous nous avons passé de très bons moments de famille toutes ensemble !

I stayed with Christine and Rosane for two weeks and have only positive things to say!
When I asked Christine if I could stay with her and Rosane, I told her that I would really like to improve my French and be involved in the culture. And Christine did everything possible to assure just that!
She took me along to every outing, to all meetings
… read more with family and friends. She always took care to make sure I didn't feel left out by introducing and involving me but at the same time left me the room to stay at home and be alone if I wished to.
She cooked delicious food everyday (eating vegetarian was no problem at all) and if I ever said that I would like to try some specific food, it usually took less than 24 hours before it was on my plate😂
And Rosane is a very pleasant young woman who was very warm towards me from the beginning! We often played games together and she was always patient with me when I pieced together my (rough) sentences in French and took the same patience when speaking to me and helping me with mistakes.
She was definitely more patient, open and overall more willing to help than I was at her age😂
We easily found a good balance between speaking French and English and I didn't have to have any fear of making mistakes. Both Rosane and Christine are very good at teaching because they knew when to give me time to think and at what point to provide help! Even in those two weeks I felt that my French got much better! I feel confident enough now to hold a conversation in French now which I couldn't have imagined before my stay.
The work was also not extremely hard. It was mostly garden work that I did between breakfast and lunch but Christine was always very flexible, offering multiple options for what I wanted to do.
And bounty, my beloved dog! Such a cute little guy. Although, if you are allergic to dogs or cats, you should be careful because they loved to stay in my bed over the day!
Their village and the surrounding ones are also very, very beautiful and very busy! There are a lot of things to do and Christine can recommend a great many things.
All in all, I can only recommend these two! They are incredibly welcoming and I can assure that you will learn a lot even in a short time.

J'ai vraiment appris beaucoup du travail que j'ai fait dans le jardin, et c'était vraiment bien de passer la semaine avec un autre

I felt really welcome and relaxed the whole time I stayed, and always looked forwards to Rosanne's delicious cakes! Elise a été une aide précieuse durant son séjour. Elle a transformé notre espace extérieur caillouteux et envahit de mauvaises herbes en un joli terrain prêt à ensemencer. … read more activités qu'elle ne connaissait pas forcément mais pour lesquelles elle a trouvé des solutions (petit bricolage). Elle nous a aidé à tenir la maison et le gîte puis s'est aussi occupée de ma fille de 11ans à laquelle elle manque beaucoup à présent. Nous vivions ensemble en prenant nos repas et je lui ai souvent laissé la maison en toute confiance car c'est une personne sérieuse et honnête.
