Want to try living offgrid for a month in the BC rainforest? Learn how to be self sufficient and build a log cabin????

Hello, We are Ken and Eva.
We live in the Bella a Coola Valley 🇨🇦 . We have an off grid property in the rainforest. Our adventure began summer of 2015 when we bought 20acres of raw land. We have had workers each year. It’s been wonderful meeting new people and working together on projects, seeing them completed and feeling really good about it! There is still lots to do and would love some more help this summer 2021....
So far we have planted a huge garden with over 200 fruit/berry/nut plants. We have built 3 little buildings and are completing the building of the cabin finally. We offer garden knowledge and building knowledge as our primary topics. But have eco power, vegetarian living, astronomy, and much more to offer if the interest is there.

    Our area:
The Valley has about 2000 residents and many are local First Nations "Nuxalk" ❤️. We are surrounded by history, beauty, culture, mountains, wildlife and all rivers lead to an ocean fiord that has salmon runs yearly. We have bears, cats, martins, eagles and more. We have fruits, berries, nuts, vegys and mushrooms galor. There are so many stars in the sky you can count all night, edged by mountains the sky twinkles. The only access to the valley is plane, or boat or a Long drive. The closest large town is 5 hours away, so things are quiet and peaceful. We are 12 min from the grocery store and 40 min from the harbor town Bella Coola. There is no McDonald's, no cell phone towers and only a few street lights in Hagensborg, Four Mile and Bella Coola :) we have Internet but only turn it one when in use, because we use solar power sattalite. We are vegetarians and really do not approve of eating meat at our camp. It is an animal sanctuary and very peacfull place. We are keeping our life neutral, loving, peaceful, and balanced with nature.❤️
