They have truly enjoyed the cooking with you, the pancakes and talking about pokemon, or whatever! I already told you but you have been the first Workawayer that, at last, has made the boys speak English, even Gonzi !
Today I had mango and it made me think of you and also the nice dishes you cooked and shared with us.
We would really recommend having Marlena at home to anyone but we hope that she will come visit us soon and often !!. (Remember you now have a Spanish family to visit. )
If you are thinking of having Marlena in your family we can only say nice things about her. She is mature, responsible, generous, organised, calm but always happy and very respectful with the habits of the house. Integrated but at the same time independent. For us a perfect match.
We wish her the best in her life and hope to have her soon again with us for a visit.

To be honest I don't even know where to start. Coming to Spain and staying with this amazing family was my first workaway experience and I could not have made a better choice.
From the beginning on you made sure that I felt like a part of the family and highly encouraged me to explore Andalusia. Within almost 3 months I got a really good insight
… read more on the spanish culture, managed to learn the basics of the spanish language (Bea is one of the best teachers ;) ) visited the most famous cities in the South of Spain and can now say that I have a second family :)
In addition to that Malaga is a beautiful city with so much history and a lot of interesting people and delicious food! I loved taking the bike and exploring the surroundings.
The work was not really work for me because I enjoyed spending time with Feri, Gonzi and Bea alot
I brought the boys to school, picked Bea up from the nursery, made lunch snacks, went to a park with them and sometimes helped with homework. I had a lot of freetime and the opportunity to go to spanish classes.
Once a week I put the kids to bed so that Paula and Fernando could go out for dinner.
Also important to mention is how grateful I am that you lend me these jackets and scarfs Paula, I probably would have had a permanent cold with my short summer clothes haha
Thank you for the nice memories and great opportunities I got! I really miss all of you and I am excited to come back :)
So to sum up: I can 100% recommend to stay with this lovely family!

I had a great time in Malaga! Paula and Fernando are so kind and helpful and the whole family made me feel welcome!
Unfortunately i could only stay for a month. Paula speaks perfect english and the boys understand the most i was saying. All of them are open-minded and will try to give you a great experience in Spain!

We only had Emma for a couple of weeks because everything happened during that month !
Even so she has been súper helpful and ready to adapt to all the changes we had to do !
At least we had the chance to try some vegan delicious meals.
It’s a real petty she couldn’t stay any longer.

… read more not so common in a girl so young. We have now had more than six workawayers but no-one has been trying to help as she has done. She always found the way to help us with the kid’s everyday schedule easier! It also amazed us how reflexive she is and how she made it to talk about things that she felt or had thought about. We had interesting and fun talks and we got to know a lot about her and her way of life in Finland.
Whilst she was with our family she was always wanting to join us in our family trips and we went to quite a lot of places together but she showed to be so mature and self-sufficient in our trip to Madrid city that my mother and the rest of my family was surprised!
The only sad thing of having Kaisa with us is that she had to leave but we are absolutely sure we will see her again!
Inside that young and reserved Finnish girl there is an enormous heart!

This family is super!! I stayed with them almost four months, it was my first workaway-experience and it couldn´t have been better! Paula and Fernando are amazing hosts, very welcoming, open-minded and kind. It is very easy to feel like home in their house because they always make sure everything is fine with you and you can live in their home
… read more like it was your home. Communication with Paula and Fernando is very easy, they speak English very well and want you to be happy with them, so if you have any questions or problems just go and talk with them. You can trust them and they are always happy to help you.
My work was taking kids to school in the morning and picking them up in the afternoon, playing and going to the park with them and helping with the bath and dinner in evening. The work is not difficult, Fernando and Gonzalo are funny and very active children and most of the time they behave well (but remember that everyone has bad days and it´s normal). At the beginning the parents will be with you and later when you know each other better with the kids you will have more time alone with them and lot of laugh!!
The location of their flat is PERFECT in the old center of Málaga, near all the good restaurants, shops and cafés. Málaga is a beautiful city with old castles, lively port area, nice beaches, beautiful buildings, and, above all, good weather and kind people. I used to go running to the port or the nearby hills and have churros con chocolate for breakfast ( the best breakfast you can have!) and I loved it! From Málaga you can do many trips around Andalucía, I visited Nerja, Córdoba, Antequera, Tarifa, Sevilla, Madrid Caminito del rey ( I really recommend!) and even Lisbon! The family is very active and like to travel and do little trips and you can always join them if you want. I went to Madrid and El Torcal and many other places with them and it was so cool!!
I really recommend staying with this family as they are so friendly and understanding people! You can practise your Spanish with them and they are interested in other countries and cultures too. I enjoyed a lot of all the good conversations I had with Paula and Fernando and I was able to improve my Spanish. Fernando is a good cook so you will taste many delicious dishes. Now I know that there is always a place where I´m welcome in Spain! Million thanks for the whole family, I hope you all the best and I miss you!!! About Marco... all I can say is good: he is kind, responsible, funny and loving with the kids ( our little Gonzalo always wanted to be in his arms ) very well-mannered, truthful and sincere.
He is now part of the family, we are still in touch and we are hoping to visit him in his hometown this spring!!
It was a beautiful experience and we would always recommend him to any family but also for any other job.
