I stayed for 2 weeks with the incredible family :)
My work was outside and inside, first try to empty the barn and second to take care of the kids.
This is a very nice family, the kids was very cute, and it’s was my first experience with kids and I loved !

Patricia was our second experience and also the longest one, she has been absolutely perfect!!! She is a wonderful person, always smiling, gentle, educated, creative, lovely with kids, really loves kids. … read more for you!!! We reccomend her for kids of all ages, she has been absolutely perfect!!! She arrived in our house after a very very long travel, and she just sat on the floor with them, with some surprises she choose for them from Portugal, and she played with them. Kids loved her from the beginning she has been able to open her hearth to them with a simplicity so rare. <3 kids loved her and miss her so much!!! And they wait her to come back!!! She also helped us at home understanding by herself what we needed. She is really brilliant, with great language skills, in 3 months she learned enough Norwegian to be able to deal with our kids really really well, without that we asked her anything. She is really generous in everything!!! She has been a great company, talkative and lovely! With kids she has made a lot of activities on her initiative, she is wonderful in it and kids loved to stay with her!!! This experience bring in our family a new member. Patricia is part of our family now and we are really hoping that she will come back whenever she wants. Thanx for the wonderful dream catchers that you created for us absolutely lovely! I had my first workaway experience with this family and it couldn’t have been better, it completely exceeded my expectations. I gave 5 stars but it seems to me a bit insufficient to rate my 3 month stay in Norway. Daniela, Gunnar, Liam, Mode and Mollie welcomed me with open arms like a true new member of their family and now that I'm not there

Daniela and Gunnar are two of the most incredible persons I've ever met, immensely generous and kind, always ready to teach me new things, to introduce me new people, to help me in any situation, to show me their world and the surroundings and to share a good conversation or a good laugh. By their side it is difficult, if not impossible, to be homesick.
The kids had completely conquered my heart: Liam is a very clever and shiny boy, a cheerful and energetic child. He was my Norwegian teacher and best friend. Mode is a smiling, affectionate and funny little boy who likes to laugh, make others laugh, give and receive hugs. Mollie is a lovely baby, very sweet and communicative :)
This family lives in a magical place! Hardanger Fjord is beautiful!
Spring there seems to be drawn from fairy tales. For those who enjoy nature, it is the ideal place, with forests, mountains, beaches, and fjord landscapes. In addition, Bergen, that become my favourite city, is really near. So is Voss, the perfect place for those who enjoy winter sports or extreme sports. Although they live in a small and peaceful town, bus and boat connections are very convenient.
About the work required ... what work? I honestly didn’t feel that I worked at all. I just had to spend some time with the kids and be a part of the family, which I did with great pleasure. I was left with a lot of time to explore and travel to other cities as well.
I really miss my Norwegian family…I love you all, and I can’t wait to see you again, whether in Norway or Portugal. I feel like I've made real friends for life. Tusen Takk for alt!Solo puedes ponerte en contacto con workawayers con membresías activas.

We want to say thanx to Asha for coming helping us on very short notice. She is calm and relaxed, that does not demand too much attention and she has been a really good help. Unfortunately she came in a period with a lot of snow and ice and unless you are prepared to do winter activities there is not so much to do in the area. At least she seemed
… read more to find our guestroom really comfortable. :) We felt she was not too much experienced with little kids but anyway she took the challenge and after a while kids warm up to her.
P.S. : She came in a period with road works on the way to the center of the town. The walk now is 2.3 Km and we have bikes available.

I stayed for one month with this family. It was an experiment for both of us as I was their first Work Awayer. Oystese is a very small town and the house itself is about a 40min walk into town. Overall I found this experience quite isolating and challenging but the family were very kind, although not without their share of dramas either! Liam
… read more (4yrs) took about 1 week to warm up to me but now I miss all the kids! The parents really only need help for a few days a fortnight so you will have a lot of time to yourself. This would suit someone who is studying or would like to use it as a base to go travelling.
