Welcome to León, Nicaragua's Historical Gem.

We are a small startup beach house located just 30 meters from the ocean in Las Peñitas, a relaxed surf village near León.

This is not just a volunteer position — it’s an adventure. You’ll be joining two young Nicaraguan dreamers who are building their beach business from scratch, learning, growing, and creating something special by the ocean.

You’ll live side by side with locals, experience real Nicaraguan culture beyond the tourist path, practice your Spanish daily, and be part of the ups and downs of launching a project in a small surf village. Sunsets, ocean air, community vibes, and hands-on experience included.

As part of your experience living with locals in Las Peñitas, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in beach life and community culture. You can explore incredible places like Juan Venado Island, where you'll discover mangroves teeming with wildlife and, in season, participate in the exciting release of olive ridley sea turtles into the ocean.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can also take surf lessons on some of the best waves in the area or simply stroll along the beach at sunset. Throughout the week, different community venues organize activities for travelers and locals: karaoke nights, bonfires by the sea, beach volleyball games, and even beach cleanups to help preserve this natural paradise.

More than just a trip, it will be an experience to connect with nature, meet people from all over the world, and experience the true relaxed and adventurous spirit of Las Peñitas. 🌊🏄‍♀️🔥

You will benefit from a true cultural exchange by stepping into everyday life in a small Nicaraguan beach community rather than just passing through as tourists.

By working alongside local hosts, you'll gain insight into how a grassroots hospitality project is built, understand local customs and rhythms, improve your Spanish through daily conversation, and experience authentic traditions, food, and community values firsthand.

Beyond practical skills like hospitality, organization, and communication, you'll develop adaptability, cross-cultural awareness, and a deeper appreciation for simple coastal living — lessons that stay with them long after the journey ends.

We're starting a very special project in Las Peñitas, Nicaragua: transforming a house that's been unoccupied for some time into a welcoming space for travelers, digital nomads, and beach lovers. In this first stage, volunteers will have the opportunity to be part of the process of creating something from scratch and leaving their mark on the place.

We currently need help with practical tasks such as deep cleaning the house and yard, organizing spaces, and minor repairs. We'll also be installing essential items like beds, mirrors, doors, and windows, as well as preparing an area that will function as a communal kitchen for guests.

This volunteer opportunity is ideal for people who enjoy working with their hands, transforming spaces, and participating in creative projects. More than just helping out, you'll experience building a place alongside us that will one day welcome travelers from all over the world.

As the project grows, there will also be opportunities to collaborate on administrative tasks, organize activities, and contribute ideas to improve the visitor experience.

If you like the idea of creating, learning, living with locals, and enjoying beach life, this project could be a very special experience for you. 🌊🏝️✨
