… read more family, watched movies together, went to the dam, ballet performance and had good conversations. I also need to point out all of the kind advice and help I received in relation to my job search and going for an interview out of town.
I can't recommend this family enough and would be delighted to return for another stay. This is a real experience on an Australian farm with amazing hosts and cute animals. Jen is always happy to share her horse knowledge or even give you a hair cut when you desperately need one (which she is actually pretty good at by the way).

Steph was a wonderful help in our home (with her friend Vicki). Great company and the perfect Workaway helper that shows initiative and is willing to pitch in and help.

We had so much fun living with you guys, you made us feel like we were part of the family from day 1, you looked after us, always made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed ourselves. Furthermore we were always treated very respectful, our work was appreciated, communication was always straightforward and warmhearted. As a matter of fact we even had enough time for ourselves and got the opportunity to use the car to explore for our own purposes.

Annika stayed with us for a month and was a wonderful help in our chaotic household. She got on well with our three daughters and our many animals. … read more consolidate about food. The many animals share a lot of love and fun with you. The Scenic Rim region is probably one of the very most spectacular ones we've seen. Highlights were the Sunday Girls Trip to the nearby vineyard, the Horse Trek and the Glider Flight - but just as much we will remember the numerous breathtaking sunsets and pizza nights.
The work consisted of every day tasks such as cleaning the house, preparing dinner, picking up girls from the bus, caring for animals and watering plants. Additional tasks can come up if you're handy and have at least little experience with maintenance/repairs/tools...
We had lots of free time to enjoy and relax, were allowed to use their car for trips in the region and were invited to horse treks.
Thank you all very much for having us and lots of love and cuddles to the dogs, horses and the cat!

I've had an amazing time experiencing a real Australian family. Boonah is a small and remote town but has enough to offer. And surrounding areas are beautiful.

Those were the humans, now the animals:
Oreo and Daisy were wonderful, even though I'm a cat person, I loved these dogs!! Especially Daisy, we had a special connection. And Domino, the new puppy! I felt so lucky to be there when a arrived, he's so cute but also a pooping and biting monster.
And ofcourse the horses. On my last day I got the chance to ride Sassy, that was a great experience and Sassy was wonderful for letting me (an unexperienced rider) sit on her back.
In conclusion: great place, great people, great animals!
