  Descripción

  We are retired and much travelled teachers now living in an idyllic rural setting. Our home is an architect designed, large modern building in a bush setting. We grow much of our food and spend many hours maintaining the property . Help would involve weed eradication, drainage construction, wood gathering and chopping, path making, gardening . We offer splendid accomodation and excellent home cooking. We speak a little French and Italian but we are very keen to learn more through our guests. Our nearest towns are Heburn Springs (2kms) and Daylesford (7kms). These are very popular weekend destinations for people coming from Melbourne which is 90 minutes away by car. The area of our home is renowned for spas, wineries, historical legacies from the gold rush era of the 1850's and the natural landscape.

  We love to talk travel. We have been to more than 50 countries and plan to continue. As former teachers we are probably good at communicating to others with limited English.

  The help is physical but unskilled tasks to help us maintain our small property which is 50% trees.

  We would love to develop our French. We have really enjoyed doing this before with French guests. Italian is also desirable. But if you are not French or Italian and you are interested why not ask us?

  Alojamiento

  We have large spare bedrooms with their own bathroom at one end of the house. The beds are king and queen sized. We have Wifi and Netflix. Breakfast and lunch are self serve. Dinner is prepared and always fresh and healthy. We cook the cuisines of many nations. We are vegetarian but we cook fish and meat as requested.

  We offer bicycles for independant transport but we also drive our guests to many places of interest. We take time out from working to show people places of interest.

  We have a good quiet space but our internet is not completely reliable as it often drops out in bad weather and is not very fast.
