  Support me in house and garden in a small village, 30 minutes (by public transport) from Bern, Switzerland.
  
  Do you fancy a taste of country living while also exploring the federal city of Bern? I (66) live in a detached house with a garden (500 m²) and a view of the countryside, located in a new residential area of a small village. I am looking for someone to help out for 10–20 days, starting immediately, with autumn garden tasks (loosening soil, weeding, cutting back perennials, etc.) or indoor chores during rainy weather. A young working woman also lives in the house part-time. Kira the cat claims the area around the house as her territory and likes to watch while gardening work is being done. The house was built using healthy, eco-friendly construction methods, featuring clay walls and wooden floors. You will have a bright, simply furnished 15 m² room with a view towards the Jura Mountains. The bathroom is nearby and is shared with one other person. I look forward to exchanging ideas, learning new things from you, and perhaps working, eating, or exploring the surrounding area together. I speak fluent German, Italian, and French, and I understand English. I am a non-smoker, eat mostly vegetarian, and—thanks to my adult children who have moved out—can also cook vegan meals. If you want to explore Bern: a PostBus runs every hour from here, connecting to bus or train services to Bern. The journey takes 30 minutes. The last connection back from Bern is after 11:00 PM.   Hast du Lust auf Landluft und möchtest dazu gerne die Bundesstadt Bern entdecken?
  Ich (66) lebe in einem kleinen Dorf in einem Neubauquartier, in einem Einfamilienhaus mit Garten (500 m² ) und mit Aussicht ins Grüne. Ich suche ab sofort für 10-20 Tage Unterstützung, um Herbstarbeiten im Garten (Erde lockern, jäten, Stauden abschneiden etc.) oder um bei Regenwetter im Haus Arbeiten zu erledigen. Neben mir lebt zeitweise noch eine junge, berufstätige Frau im Haus. Um das Haus hat die Katze Kira ihr Revier und schaut gerne zu, wenn im Garten gewerkelt wird.
  Das Haus ist baubiologisch gebaut. Das bedeutet, es hat Lehmwände und Holzböden. Es erwartet dich ein helles, einfach möbliertes, 15 m² großes Zimmer mit Aussicht Richtung Jura. Das Bad ist in Zimmernähe, und ihr teilt es euch zu zweit.
  Ich freue mich auf einen Austausch, Neues von dir zu lernen, auf gemeinsames Arbeiten, Essen oder ein gemeinsames Erkunden der Umgebung. Ich spreche fließend Deutsch, Italienisch, Französisch und verstehe Englisch. Ich bin Nichtraucherin, esse meistens vegetarisch und kann, dank meiner Kinder (erwachsen und ausgezogen), auch vegan kochen.
  Wenn du Bern erkunden willst: Von hier aus fährt jede Stunde ein Postauto mit Bus- oder Zuganschluss nach Bern. Fahrzeit 30 Minuten. Die letzte Verbindung von Bern zu uns ist ab 23:00 Uhr.
  Eine gültige Kranken-, Unfall- und Haftpflichtversicherung sind Voraussetzung.

  We often work together. It should also be some fun for both of us. Exchanging ideas and taking a break is part of it. Description of the help: in the garden, e.g. loosen the soil, weed, cut shrubs or water if necessary. Wipe and care for wooden surfaces in the household. Depending on the time and weather, help with the cellar. Clean the room and bathroom at the end of the stay.

  Wir arbeiten oft zusammen. Es soll beiden auch etwas Spass machen. Austauschen und Pause machen gehört dazu. Beschreibung der Mithilfe: im Garten z.B. Erde lockern, jäten, Sträucher schneiden oder bei Bedarf Giessen. Im Haushalt Holzflächen abwischen und pflegen. Je nach Zeit und Wetter Mithilfe beim Keller ordnen. Bei Aufenthaltsende Zimmer und Bad reinigen.

  You live in a wooden house built according to building biology. It has clay walls and wooden floors. The indoor climate is very pleasant. You can expect a bright, simply furnished, 15 m² room with a view of the Jura. The bathroom is close to the room, and you share it as a couple.   Du wohnst in einem baubiologisch gebauten Holzhaus. Es hat Lehmwände und Holzböden. Das Raumklima ist sehr angenehm. Es erwartet dich ein helles, einfach möbliertes, 15 m² großes Zimmer mit Aussicht Richtung Jura. Das Bad ist in Zimmernähe, und ihr teilt es euch zu zweit. Kerzen anzünden und Rauchen sind im Haus nicht erlaubt.

  You can hike well here. If you have a bike, you can just as well explore the surrounding area. There is an hourly public transport to get to the city, where there are many leisure activities. Last train/bus home leaves Bern at 11.00 pm. See For ev. I am happy to provide information. I don't have my own car or TV. An important concern is not to smoke or light candles in the house (wooden house). I appreciate it when ambiguities are communicated. I am also happy when we can cook and eat together from time to time.

  Man kann hier gut Wandern, joggen. Wer ein Velo hat kann ebenso gut die Umgebung so erkunden. Es gibt ein stündliches ÖV um in die Stadt zu gelangen, wo es viele Freizeitangebote gibt. Letzter Zug/Bus nach Hause fährt um 23.00 Uhr in Bern ab. Siehe Für ev. Auskünfte stehe ich gerne zur Verfügung.
  Ich verfüge über kein eigenes Auto und keinen Fernseher.
  Ein wichtiges Anliegen ist im Haus (Holzhaus) weder zu rauchen noch Kerzen anzuzünden. Ich schätze es, wenn Unklarheiten mitgeteilt werden. Ebenso freue ich mich, wenn wir ab und zu zusammen kochen und essen können.

  The room has a desk and internet access. I request data protection and privacy. Please do not publish information about your place of residence, photos of your house and garden, etc. Phone calls between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM are fine. Otherwise, everyone appreciates a good night's sleep. The 5-hour workday should be done consecutively during the day so that other interests can also be accommodated. Ansonsten schätzen alle die Nachtruhe. Die Mitarbeit von 5 Stunden/Tag sollte am Stück und bei Tag erfolgen, damit auch andere Interessen Platz finden. Maximale Verweildauer 3 Wochen.

  Kira is a senior cat. In the summer she lives outdoors. In the winter she is often indoors and sleeps a lot. Sometimes she likes to be petted, sometimes she just wants to be included.------------------------------------------------------------------------Kira ist eine Seniorenkatze. Im Sommer lebt sie draussen. Im Winter ist sie oft im Haus und schläft viel. Manchmal mag sie es gerne gestreichelt zu werden, manchmal möchte sie einfach nur mit dabei sein.
