This is a project of our USA NGO and it's El Salvadoran NGO
The center is the world's first purpose built paraplegic and limited lower body ability surf training center located in Playa El Cocal, La Libertad, SurfCity El Salvador. The mission of the project is to promote the sport of Para Surf throughout the world through best practices in paraplegic surf development.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, living oceanside and working with disabled surf athletes this workaway experience is a dream come true.
We have a full-time resident staff that will be responsible for assigning volunteer duties to our workawayers on a case by case basis. With duties ranging from meal production to surfing, climbing and general training center upkeep duties.
Interested individuals who we contact will have all personal questions answered during the vetting process. We simply can not stress enough that we are looking for individuals who want to expand their interaction experience with paraplegic athletes, become part of the training center "staff" while with us and enjoy working side by side with professional coaches, sports medicine and psychology professionals as well as facilities maintenance workers.
We are looking for multi-language speaking adults ( Spanish, German, Scandinavian and English etc... ) to serve as volunteers in support of the training center's athletes in training. Meal production, Surf Assistant/Guides, Sport Climbing Guides, General light training facility housekeeping duties etc...
The facility is a paralympic surf training center, so our goal is to accept individuals who are "sports" "outdoor" minded and have a desire to work with para athletes.

Workaway volunteers will be housed in private single bedroom houses within the training center. Private guest Bungalows feature: Queen, Full or Twin bed configurations with wifi and air conditioning, private bathrooms. The training center has onsite laundry room, large kitchen and living room/common room space in addition to open air oceanside large cabana and workout cabana areas. There is also a medium size pool and carving skateboard area along with 7 meter climbing wall.
Our NGO works directly in support of the government of El Salvador and has excellent relationships with many of the government's Ministries to include: Security, Health, Rehabilitation, Sport and Youth. We are also partnered with the International Airport and Tourism Ministry. Public Transport runs throughout SurfCity ( La Libertad) and up into the interior of the country, but our goal with selected Workawayers would be to have them embed with our staff and take advantage of the many different aspects of our programming, travel with the staff up into San Salvador and other communities that we work in etc...
Logistically, the center is 45 mins from International Airport, 30 minutes from the capital city of San Salvador and 10 minutes from the Port of La Libertad where we do the majority of our local shopping etc...

2-3 hrs per day in exchange for housing, 3-4 hrs per day in exchange for full room and board. All selected guests will be provided with International Airport pickup and drop off.
