----Looking for workaways in JANUARY!! Get in touch if you're available :) ---
We are lucky to call New Plymouth home, as it's such a special little place where all things fun can be found: the sea, the mountain, the wind and beautiful surrounding nature.
Our house is ideally located next to a council-owned reserve, in a tranquil cul-de-sac, a half-hour walk from the town centre and about 1km from the coastal walkway.
If you enjoy spending time outdoors and are a keen gardener, or if you're happy to help us out with some lifestyle tasks, DIY/ building projects or organising/cleaning, we'd love to hear from you and have a video chat.

Ayuda
Living and working in our home will be flexible to fit lifestyle and activities as you make the most of what New Plymouth has to offer. Life keeps us busy caring for our household, garden, and our 2 and 4.5 year olds. Your help would be in sharing this load through tasks we can plan together. It is important for us to host someone with a love for children and a good sense of responsibility.
The main help at the moment involves gardening, some building tasks and general cleaning. We have a preference to host someone who can help us with some landscaping tasks, weeding and taking care of our plants. There are also some DIY projects that are pending for us, such as maintaining stairs in the garden, painting or helping on the deck. We're happy to chat and see how you can fit into our family routines and what tasks best suit you. During the school holidays in January we will need extra support with our oldest child, who will not be going to school while we work!
You are welcome to join our family for meals sometimes, as we love to share food and get to know our guests, but it is our preference that you bring your own food for most meals. This is mainly due to the needs of our children and our house logistics. However, depending on work load and the activities you want to do while visiting our region, we are happy to chat and discuss what works best for everyone.

Alex is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in German. The kids speak Spanish and English and we like to teach them songs and words in German too. We'd love to host people keen to practice their Spanish, or who are native Spanish/ German speakers and want to practice their English.

We offer a private bedroom with a queen bed. We have sheets and towels for you to use.

Our house is a perfect place to relax and recharge. We love being surrounded by nature, and having a green outlook from every window. The reserve next door has a little walkway, and you often see and hear native birds.
Taranaki is amazing and you won't get bored or run out of things to do here. If you like adventure, nature and the loveliness of a small town, you'll love it. We have all the local tips and insight on where to go and what to do, especially in the outdoors. It's an excellent place for surfing, wind sports, hiking, mountain biking and road biking, to name a few. We have gear you'd be welcome to borrow if you don't have your own, and Alex can also teach you how to windsurf.
It is important for us to have healthy, sustainable lifestyles.
