  I am very much in need of help during May/June. Dog/kitten sitting and light gardening etc.
  
  Housesitting dates: 28th May - 15th June
  
  If you would like to spend some peaceful time in nature, not far from the coast, with my sweet pets for company, let me know :-)
  
  Sorry for the very low response rate, workaway messages go straight to my junk mail and I can't seem to change it. I will be checking back regularly for a while now!

  I am Rosie, living with my dog and two kittens on a beautiful piece of land on the Silver Coast in Portugal. I will be renovating the old ruin slowly but surely, and in the meantime I live in a converted shipping container and a yurt. I am fully off-grid with a solar set-up and water storage.

  You will experience daily life on a small, off grid set up. Perhaps you have a dream of starting a similar project and would like to dip a toe first! Or maybe you would just like to spend some time amongst the trees, reading, writing, working on your own projects... or doing not much at all... :-)

  During housesits, I only ask that you take care of the animals and water a few plants. No skills needed but you will need an enthusiasm for outdoor/off-grid living.

  Alojamiento

  Bedroom - yurt, with a proper bed. If you prefer to come with your own van, that's fine too.
  
  Kitchen/living room - converted shipping container with basic kitchen facilities (proper hob and oven)/sofas/books/electric plugs
  
  Shower - manual 'farmers' shower, hot but only 10 litres.
  
  Toilet - compost loo

  15 mins from Caldas da Rainha and Obidos - lots of shops, supermarkets, cafes, bars, restaurants
  20 mins from the lagoon - walking, cycling, birdwatching, swimming
  25 mins from the sea - surfing, swimming,
  1 hour from Lisbon and the airport :-)
